I'll be marrying my fiance (Specalize) sometime soon we've been talking, and I want to how many of you all gotten married and your partner take your last name ?,
I will take my man's last name, some people I see keep their last name they had before. But when you got a 13 letter German last name like me I wouldn't blame someone to want to change it.

Haven't been married, but I can't say I'd really care if she did. In all honestly, there is a chance I may even prefer, but not demand, that she keep her name. I don't have a bad last name or anything, but it just seems like a very unnecessary tradition. Last names don't make the family, and we are two different people with different backgrounds. Last names in general don't really mean anything to me. It is something that doesn't need to change because of me.

I'm getting married this August and both of our kids have my name not hers so she wants to take my last name as well.

Sounds quite old fashioned and maybe wrong to some, everyone is entitled to own opinion. Mine is you should and I would expect my girlfriend to when we get married it's just a thing you do I think

That is true it could be optional and the last name doesn't make the person yea.
