Everybody is different so we all have different ways of comforting ourselves and dealing with certain situations. Each time I feel worthless or if everyone would be better off without me I go to my happy place and spark up some herb its not legal in my country but its what works for me and everyone around me understands that. It's helped me through a lot in life so far and I don't plan to give up any time soon

Moral of the story find something that truly makes YOU happy and stick to it, life is full of ups and downs just gotta stick together.

Go to your psychiatrist. I can understand that going to appointments like those can seem like an even bigger downer but they're really not. I was depressed from age 12 up to when I was 16 due to being rejected constantly in middle school, mainly by girls. My parents found a 'suicide letter' I had written, it was 50% joke/50% serious, and they sent me to a psychiatrist and to a program to better my self-esteem, my confidence and to get rid of my social awkwardness and shyness. I thought it was dumb, I thought it was useless but I was completely wrong. Of course, people are different and they'll respond differently to all types of treatments so this obviously could or could not work for you. Getting help, even while you think that it won't help or that it's useless, is effective.

I don't suffer from constant depression anymore, I usually have 'depression episodes' and they're mostly due to me feeling alone and feeling like I'll never find someone romantically. When I do have these episodes, I usually distract my thoughts with videogames, music and well, I'm constantly getting high so I usually never have depressing thoughts unless I reach a certain peak of my high. No, I am not saying that you should get high to deal with your depression; it can lead to side effects, not health-wise, but it can affect your productivity. I'm just saying that those are the few things I do to deal with my episodes of depression.

Kylo, I'm sure you'll push out of this hole. Just remember to not bury yourself into the hole more, you've gotta keep trying to climb out of it and build yourself a nice Fortnite stairway to keep going up and up. I know these are just words and my words might not even help you in the slightest, but don't let this consume you, all humans have the capability and the strength to pull out of it. If you've ever wandered into suicidal thoughts, which I hope you haven't, please contact the Suicide Hotline or tell someone about it. Don't be afraid to express yourself ever and don't lock yourself in your own thoughts, repressing these thoughts only leads to worse things. If you ever need anything at all, or anybody else who may be going through tough times and difficult situations, my PMs remain open.

Driving. Taking my MK5 out for a spin helps so much with stress. Taking it for a cruise through the mountains of Colorado is so nice.

My mom passed 2 years ago and its been a really tuff road for me me and my mom where very close and I was an only child. But what really helps me is talking to my fiance and communicating with friends. Or if I feel really down and think dark thoughts I listen to certain songs or watch Anime to make me laugh. But in the end I remember there are people out there who have it worse off than I do.

22q wrote I like to play guitar. That really helps me. I'm not great but I get into the music and it helps me forget about my real life. Music therapy is great for depression.

I agree music has always helped me thru a lot. Classic rock all the way to rnb. My mom had got me into AC/DC.

Blasting music as loud as it'll go and singing my heart out. I'm not joking either.
