The texas longhorns are going to be dominating in the next couple of years. Maybe even next season!

Tom Herman had 11 of the top 15 players in the state of Texas sign today. Ranked by 247Sports.

What are your thoughts about this?

Will the be good next season or will it take them a year or so.

It might take them another year so all the rookies adjust to college football.

Very true. That is what I was thinking when typing this out. But if they do end up starting some of these players after spring ball and they get used to it. The season after next is going to be a good one for the NCAA or the Big 12 in that matter. Sam Ehlinger and Shane Buechele are going to have fun throwing to these new dominant receivers. Tom herman also said that this should be the new normal for Texas. He is going to start having very top texas recruits sign at UT and tbh I can not wait!

95% of those players aren't in the top 20 nationally. That's just Texas. Besides, Texas A&M has and only will be their main competitor. Not surprising tbh.

What do you mean by main competitor?

TCU? Texas Tech? Baylor?

All D1 schools with amazing football programs. Baylor has been sucking the past couple of years but they are about to change some things around with the upcoming class of 2020 and 2019 when those players sign that school is going to be a power house. TCU already is a main competitor. That football program has been amazing for the past for the past couple of years and doesnt show any signs of letting up.

None of those programs are on Texas and TAMs level of recruiting. Not Texas Tech, not TCU, and not Baylor. Good developing =/= good recruits

Over the past couple of years. Texas has not been able to bring in the freshman like they have done this year. Yes they have good recruits every year. I havent seen this good of a class for a while.

To be fair if we are looking only at the 2019 recruiting class right at this moment. TCU is ranked #13 and Baylor is ranked #20 while Texas is ranked #41 and A&M is ranked #4. Will that change...sure. But early recruiting it huge.

I would not be surprised if more athletes wanted to play for Gary Patterson at TCU. Every year since they won the BIG 12 they've been in the top 25 for recruiting and the year prior to them winning the BIG 12 they ranked 43.

TCU has a really good recruiting process and they know how to get the players they want. I think in the next few years, TCU will have a tough time in the Big12 with Texas once these freshman get used to college ball.

Right. Though I believe in the past few years a lot of it had to do with Charlie Strong not knowing how to use the players that he had...but then I look at what he did this past year at USF. I dont know what to think anymore.

I really hope that Tom Herman gets his shit together in Austin. Dare I say "Texas is back!?!??!" lol.
