How can I increase SPM

So I was checking the leaderboards for free for all as that's what I enjoy playing the most
I am 8.9k with 10k kills and 4k deaths, yet my spm is 3.86.
Some guy first with 50 kills and 700spm
I win nearly every game, with a high KD calling in multiple streaks but my SPM won't budge.
What can I do to increase it? The top 100 have hardly over 100 kills but they're so high, unless they are just all boosters?
I would love to be higher as it's my favourite game mode and I do pretty well. Just believe my current rank should be higher

Get a lot of kills quickly, scorestreaks give less score, so less spm.

First tip, if you're playing War a lot stop. That damages your SPM SO bad because none of those stats count towards your record
Second tip, try playing heavily focused objective gamemodes like Hardpoint or HQ and go strictly for the objective. Kills are not going to effect your spm enough in the long run to worry about only getting kills. Remember, you can finish 10/10 with 3,700 score and that's still a good game for your spm.
HQ is short and gives a lot of points for controlling the objective so I'd try that first.
Of course if you still want to kill whore, DOM is always a good balance of both.

This is very useful, so thank you for that. However, I did only mention Free For All and my question was how to increase my SPM in that particular game mode. My overall SPM is, I believe to be fine and not bothered about that

This is very useful, so thank you for that. However, I did only mention Free For All and my question was how to increase my SPM in that particular game mode. My overall SPM is, I believe to be fine and not bothered about that
Whoops, sorry about that man.
As far as FFA goes, you basically just have to learn the fastest way to 30 kills on each map.
That way you're getting 30 kills as quickly as possible, as much as possible, capitalizing on efficiency.
