I currently have a wifi booster in my room as my router is at other side of the house and having a ethernet traveling around can be pretty messy. I Was thinking of putting the router into my room and then wont have a cable traveling, But i do not have a phone socket in my room so cannot have the router in my room. I have seen some WiFi boosters that have a built in ethernet and was wondering if that would help my signal even more ?

My internet sucks so bad without a cable and its really annoying having to wait hours to download games that should take under an hour.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hold on take a step back here. Not trying to be blunt but there is a lot wrong here. First off you would not be using a phone jack as an alternative to ethernet through the home. So let me recommend something. It sounds like what you need is something called powerline adapters. These will use your homes own wiring to transmit the data. In your case you may want to grab one with wireless capabilities on the receiving end. They are pretty simple to setup. You use one of the ports on the back of your router for this and find a nearby outlet that you can plug it in to. Then the area where you need to be getting the connection is where you would place the other part of the set. I know netgear makes a decent one here is what i would think would be good for you [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
