A dispute between two teammates, over the loss of a $1.50 Call of Duty wager, has led to the death of a 28 year old man in Wichita, Kansas.

Two individuals got into a heated argument over a UMG Wager online after a loss in the match. During the heated dispute, one of the individuals involved provided the other with a fake address for where he resided. The other individual decided to send the location to a known swatter. This known swatter is reportedly the same individual that called in a fake bomb threat at CWL Dallas event earlier in December. The swatter called in a fake scenario to the local police. Swatting is a problem in the Call of Duty community. There have been numerous incidents where a fake situation is called into police.

Police arrived at the address and shot and killed a 28 year old individual who was not even involved in the dispute. The officer who fired the shot, a 7 year veteran of the local police department, has been placed on administrative leave as the department investigates what happened.

That's literally the stupidest way to get someone killed. Talk about taking the game to seriously.

Honestly that's pretty **** up what this guy did, I've heard of people getting swatted along time ago but it still isn't cool.

They should just introduce a new category of charge called swatting. If it results in a death then it should carry the same sentence as first degree murder.

If that means that Tyler Barriss is in a state where the death penalty is a sentencing option for first degree murder then strap him to a table, inject this moron with whatever experimental drug is going to make his insides feel like they are on fire, and let him die. Rid the world of his stupidity and be done with it.

Swatting is not funny in the first place and the fact that he was not taking responsibility for the death of him is disgusting. I hope that he rots in prison. He knew what he was doing and what could have potentially happened

I listened to Tyler's interview and looked through his tweets, he shows little to no remorse for his actions. If I was the judge I would at least give him a sentence for manslaughter.

Also why isn't the swat officer or the other people involved who were begging him to make the call being charged with anything and why is there no news coverage on them?
