I have a HDMI 2.0 connected into my 144hz monitor and laptop thats running a 960m. I am not getting 144hz on the monitor (i dont see a 144hz option in the nvidia control panel). Is the 960m capable of allowing 144hz? Or is there anything else im doing wrong? Thanks!

Monitor will be set to 144Hz default unless you've done some weird magic. What games are you playing?

HDMI 2.0 does not support 1080p@144Hz. 1080p@120Hz max supported with HDMI2.0. You'll need to use a DVI-D or DisplayPort cable for 1080p@144Hz. Good luck running almost anything near 144Hz at 1080p with a GTX 960M though lol.

HDMI 1.3 and above has the throughput for 1080p@144Hz, but only supports a maximum of 120Hz.

So, basically, use DisplayPort lol. Honestly, DPMR, every one should use DP if their GPU and monitor support it.

So dumb, I haven't had much experience with HDMI apart from plugging my TV in so I'm by no means an expert.
