I've recently downloaded Battlefield 1 and I've noticed that I get a very minuscule frame drop, which happens throughout the game. I've noticed that my CPU utilization spikes from 60-70% to 100% for a very split second, then drops back down to 60-70%. My temps seem to be okay and it doesn't happen in any other game (that I know of).

I installed a clean version of W10 a month or two back and like to keep my OS very clean, so everything should be good in that department. The 4790K is OC'd to a stable 4.5 GHz which I have never had a problem with since day 1. I reset my BIOS to ensure that it wasn't down to my OC and the issue remains. I'm also using it paired with a liquid cooled 1080TI @ 1440p / 144Hz.

Does anyone know if this is normal for Battlefield 1 to be highly CPU intensive, or does something have to be amended on my side?

Thanks for the help in advance

Don't get tunnel vision, don't assume it's Battlefield 1 taking up all the CPU allocation. It may be other back ground tasks etc.

MSCONFIG > uncheck any useless startup programs, I imagine you have deleted any bloatware but highly doubt you have any with a custom/fresh build.

As standard, check for any driver updates and play around with the ingame settings.

Hope this helps mayneeee
