As long as you have win 10, and a laptop connected to a router, you should be able to do this .

I can give a very brief explanation here:

Go to wifi settings and enable mobile hotspot. If you have no mobile hotspot option you won't be able to do this method.


Enable Mobile Hotspot with a wifi name and password of your choice.

Type ncpa.cpl into your search bar to view your connections.

Share your VPN connection (should be Ethernet X) with your new mobile hotspot connection (Local Area Connection). You can share it by right-clicking the connection and hitting properties. Then go to the sharing tab and enable internet sharing. Then select your Local Area Connection from the drop down menu.

And that should do it! Just connect to your created hotspot via your RGH. The mobile hotspot screen shows all of the devices connected to the hotspot and you can copy and paste that IP into neighborhood to connect to your console.
