So i been working at Elstree Studios for 2 years now, working on night shifts, and the hours are 12 hours too 18 hours a day, and only get £7.50 at the moment. I have no time to spend with my girl and my kid, so i wanted to find a new job, and i enjoy driving alot so thought to go for it. Money can be anything to £9 to £15 an hour working 8 to 10 hours a day, and would free up alot more time to dpend with my family. My girl had been talking bout breaking up with me because of my job, which is fare enough cuz i hardly see her.

Does anybody work for a delivery company like Tesco deliverying food to houses, is it a decent job, good pay, decent sensible hours?

You should definitely consult management about your hours and how it is interfering with your personal life before you quit. If you are intent on quitting this job I strongly suggest having another job lined up before quitting. Driving for a career can be an issue sometimes especially if they do not provide a vehicle or reimbursements on gas.

Havent personally worked as a driver but i have worked in tesco, aldi ect warehouses and seen drivers get anything from 50 to 80 per day.

Also giving a fuel card so your petrol is reimbursed.

Wouldnt say there the easies jobs to get tho maybe worth looking into before quiting

Not related to Tesco delivery, however I work for tesco stocking shelves (masters student). And if you do the night shift it's like £9 an hour. Sunday's it's time and a half too. Impressive wage for such an easy job

I work in an office building and the driver for the company which delivers our supplies was essentially bragging about his job, saying that he could pick up his allocated supply drop for the day at around 8am, deliver it all, and on most days be finished by around 1pm.
He did say that the pay was quite low, but he didn't give any exact numbers.

You could have a look at those types of companies though, I'm sure you could find one looking for a driver.
Also, you'll probably find that delivering to office buildings is a nicer experience than delivering to people's homes.

I've heard that Tesco delivery drivers are on decent money and the hours are good too, you should have a look at Iceland deliveries too because apparently they're paid well

Definitely have another job lined up first and make sure you turn your two weeks in don't want to burn any bridges on the way out

I will never stay at a job I'm not happy or content with. But my advice is to never quit a job until you've found another.
