Monopoly PLUSraises the classic game to a new level! Please note that the online mode of MONOPOLY PLUS is only available to owners of MONOPOLY PLUS.

Gameplay

Monopoly Plus is a huge upgrade to the monopoly games we've seen in the past. Each game will probably take an hour or longer if you have a lot of players. Similar to the others you are placed on a board game after selecting a token that represents you. Each player (Max 6) will be required to roll the dice to see who gets the biggest number and goes first. The winner will roll the dice and move his token to the numbers the dice show. Whatever property you land on you have the chance to buy it or just pass and let the next player roll. There are spots on the board you also do not want to roll on such as the jail that will bring you to the other side of the board and keep you there for 3 whole rounds. You also do not want to land on properties that are owned by other players because you'll have to pay them rent in which the property shows. If you own 3 properties of the same color you will have the chance to build houses or even motels if you have 4 houses on each property. Each house will increase the rent to the player who lands on it making you more money. If you happen to run out of cash or need the extra bit you will be able to sell houses or even mortgage a property allowing players to land on it without paying rent. If a player passes go he will receive $200 for free but there are 2 main spots players do not want to land on. One of which is the Luxury tax property in which you'll have to pay $200 and goes to the free parking piece. Income tax is also the same where you pay $200 that goes to free parking allowing players who land on the free parking that is across from jail receiving the free money that you've paid. There is also different ways of playing this game for example fast play where you play with only one die allowing a quicker game with friends. There is also a bidding feature allowing players to bid on cards or just make deals switching cards so players have the chance to get a monopoly. Your job is to eliminate each player by taking all their money and properties and getting the most money as possible.

Graphics

The graphics in Monopoly Plus are outstanding to some games we've had with this game. Everything in this game is now 3D and in your face. You still have the main board in the center but with a huge city on the center of the board. Each property has its own building and environment that is placed in the middle while being able to upgrade it. You will also notice the background of this game is also put into effect of great textures and 3D. There is also little blimps and cars that go by in the background and foreground as you play the game. Whenever a player rolls the dice you will see whenever a die hits a players token or some houses on properties they will go scattering around the bored but it will reset after the play is done. The setting of this game is placed on a beach making the sun just beam down on your bored and having reflections shine off the clouds making the visuals of this game intense. This game really runs smooth on current consoles and even the older consoles. If you do not like all the details and its too much for you, you are allowed to change the bored to just the classic version or some other boards you may be interested in more.

Controls

Monopoly isn't a hard game to play, neither are the controls that difficult. You simply are just rolling dice and letting the game take you to the property the diced rolled to. You will have the chance to select cards and bid on properties but the game mostly does everything for you. Throughout the game you will also see what buttons to press at the bottom of the screen in case you are confused of what to do. There is no setting to change any controls on the game but you really shouldn't be since all controls will be on screen when playing.

Rating

Gameplay: 10/10
Graphics: 10/10
Controls: 10/10
Overall: 10/10

agreed, its also nice that mostly all the achievements were 100 gamerscore. Some of them you can just do with 2 controllers.
