Hey guys, I just bought myself a 1080 ftw edition but after testing it out a bit it seems to really be under performing in both benchmarks and gaming. Don't think its my cpu doing it as it really shouldn't be affecting it by this much. Heres my system;
CPU; i7 3770 @3.4GHz
GPU: evga 1080 FTW
PSU: evga 750W Supernova B1
SSD: Samsung 850 evo 256GB
MOBO: MSI B75MA - P45

Noticed while running 3D mark that the gpu usage was at 100% temps were around 60-65 and cpu wasn't maxed and at 70 degrees so please help cause its really annoying me how shit its being haha. Thanks

Please explain what you are meaning by underperforming. Are you meaning like framerates are lacking? I could be wrong on this (I haven't run many benchmarks in my day), but isn't the GPU suppose to max out on that benchmark? And I could be wrong on this too (someone correct me if im wrong), 3D Mark is a GPU benchmark so I don't think it's going to max out your CPU. So to me, your last statement should be normal.

70 Degrees for a CPU is perfectly fine considering you're running a benchmark. Yes I understand it's for your GPU however you need expect your CPU to 'throttle' somewhat...

"Most CPUs will begin to throttle (lower its clock speed to cut down heat) once they hit 95 to 105C. If temperatures rise further, the CPU will shut itself down to avoid permanent damage".

You're safe. Nothing to worry about. But as mentioned above, do you lag in games FPS wise?

Well, what performance are you getting from it that isn't satisfying you? What clock speed is the GPU running at?
