Funnily enough, the beta was live yesterday apparently. Streamers were playing it on Twitch yesterday around 11 AM PST, thought maybe it was for people who pre-ordered and got an extra day, but nope. Servers were live for everyone. Beta has been so great though. One of the best optimised CoD games and it's only in beta. One of my 1070 cards died a while back, so now I'm stuck with a single 1070 until I get off my ass to go get a 1080 Ti. The game, on 4k, with AA off has not once dipped below 60 FPS on a single 1070. Most of the times I am hitting an average of 72 FPS, with the Gibraltar map being as high as 88 FPS at one point. Ardennes Forest is the map that seems to be the most intensive, but it still keeps my FPS at the low 60s.

based on the massive amount of negative reviews its getting, the game is badly optimised and crashes frequently and seems to be a massive problem for most players.

Most of the crashes seemed to be fixed with driver updates. I update my drivers as soon as they come out, so I more than likely skipped that problem completely. Haven't had a single issue playing the game at all. Performance has been so great on 4k with a single 1070. Did better than Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered FPS wise. I noticed some people on the Steam Forums were also complaining that they couldn't change advanced video options, but they either are blind to it or simply could not access it.

Thanks for giving great feedback on the beta. I appreciate it. I noticed it was live last night but was tired with baby and noticed nobody posted about it considering we have a lot of pc gamers on here.

This beta has been surprisingly fun to play. It had a rocky start but after putting some time into it I've really come to enjoy the game. Sadly I've just hit max rank (30) and can't really progress much further other than weapon attachments. Hopefully they'll raise the level cap so I can continue my grind.

Side note: If anyone wants good weapon & perk combos to use let me know. Found some really broken ones.
