Are the rumours about getting banned for doing this true? Tempted to get another EA access sub to give it a try but if people are getting banned it's not worth it for the sake of waiting another 2 days

When I try to enter EA Access on the dummy account, midway through the loading screen, it says "Sorry, Microsoft Services are not available at this time, Please try again later."

EA Access also works perfectly fine on my normal account. Has anyone got a fix for this? Any ideas to get around it? Not sure what's going wrong here.
