Hello all I'm new here and to the PC building world in general. Had pc's when I was younger and they were always factor pc's my father would get me so I could game with him. I used pcpartpicker to "build" my pc. It says all the parts are compatible and from my research on all the parts I would agree. Was wondering tho just as a fail safe if any of you sharpies could look over my build and point out any possible flaws I might have made. Or just any general comments or concerns as to my build compatibility. Thank you all very much. Iam excited to start this new craft of building and upgrading my pc. Side not iam not interested at the moment in trying to overclock much of anything that will come later.

The build itself looks pretty good, If I were you I'd save $50 on a cheaper case and instead put that money towards a HDD to go along with the SSD. But if you're set on that case you can always pick up a HDD when you run out of space.

I'd wait for others to review it though, some pretty knowledgeable people here.

Thank you! I thought about adding an HDD 1 or 2tb but opted not to right now due to me only playing one game. I know that i will eventually need it and have more games then I can deal with haha but for now I think the evo should be good for me. My birthday is in November so I already know what I'm gonna ask the lady for haha. Could you recommend any particular HDD brand or model?

A 2 TB at 7200 RPM for only $67 is a great deal. Toshiba also has a 1 TB that was a very fair price; however, I can't for the life of me remember what model it is.

Going back to your build, if you have a PSU cable preference, you can swap the PSU you have now from Semi-Modular, to Fully Modular for $2 more and you get an extra estimated 20w. It's not the most important thing in the world, some people prefer semi over fully and vice-versa.

Ryzen does benefit a lot better from faster RAM speeds, so you could also remove the RGB from your RAM and slap in this version for a RAM speed of 3,000 MHz.

Nothing else I can come across that I would change. The only "minor" thing I would change, is the stand on the monitor and that's solely on an aesthetic choice. It won't ruin your build by any means, just if that was the monitor I was getting, I would change the stand on it with a monitor arm lol.

Make sure you have a bootdrive for an OS from a USB. This case does not have support for a DVD (optical bay) drive. You will need something to load an OS onto. A USB with an OS on it or even a USB Optical Drive with the OS CD is what you'll be looking at.

The case seems to come with 3 fans, which is great; however, if it's hotter where you live at, you may want to down the road invest in more fans. On Newegg's page this is what is listed for the fans.

Front: 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm (3 x 120mm SP120 RGB LED Included)
Top: 2 x 120 / 140mm
Rear: 1 x 120mm

So it seems, you'll have 3 in the front. You can either keep those 3 there or take one of them and put it in the back for an exhaust.

Also just a little tip going forward. Your case is tempered glass, so please be careful with it. I'm sure you're careful with PCs, but you need to take an extra step with tempered glass. If the PC is on the bottom of your desk, near your feet; you may need to move it else where. A accidental kick right in a weak spot of the glass is all it takes to shatter it. Thankfully, tempered glass shatters more "finer" than regular glass, almost like a powder that won't cut you up too bad (still wouldn't say throw you hand into the pile to clean up without some sort of protection) and it makes it harder for the glass to get into your hardware, which is still better than a full shard of glass getting stuck in a fan as opposed to a "powder" of little glass. When taking the side panels off, make sure you place them somewhere with cushions, not on a table or anything hard, for more reasons than one. DO NOT use power tools when putting the case back together. Power tools will strip and shatter that glass faster than anything. Power tools for tightening when it comes to screws on a PC is common knowledge, but just wanted to give a heads up. If using a screwdriver, don't put a death grip into it, you can achieve the same accident doing that, as you would with a power tool for a screw with glass.

Personally i would go with this, cheaper, should perform a bit better, looks cleaner and more bang for you buck.

Same case without all the Corsair branding. Better RAM since Ryzen favours faster RAM. Much nicer, better 1440p monitor. Most people with the QX2710 have been able to OC them between 96-120Hz pretty easily. Do NOT spend $300+ for a GTX 1060, that's just stupid. Even $270 is too much for a 1060 IMO, and you should get a used GTX 980 instead, you should be able to find one for $200-220 easily enough.

Thank you guys so much for the recommendations. Is the reason my ram is slower due to the RGB cause I can't find them at higher MHz with the RGB. Think I'll take ur advice and go with non RGB sticks for now. And Zo I'm going over the parts u listed to see if any appeal to me. Thank you for recommending them

The prices of every thing have skyrocketed cause of the cyrptocurrency or so I have read. That 1060 is the superclocked version. Watched a tech deals video and decided in that one. I'll do some research on those parts. Thank you for recommending stuff for better bang for buck

Only GPU pricing has skyrocketed due to cryptocurrency miners. Well, and some higher end PSUs but I'm not sure if that's solely down to miners. Its starting to normalize but it takes longer for prices to come down than to go up. That doesn't mean it's worth paying $330 for a GTX 1060. Just a few months ago you could grab a low end 1070 for around $330-350. A 1060 for $270 is going to perform identically to a $330 1060 anyway.

You shouldn't get the Corsair RGB RAM because it doesn't look the best IMO. If you MUST get RGB RAM, I'd get TridentZ RGB. You can get 2x8GB 3000MHz G.Skill TridentZ RGB for $150. Though for RGB, I'd just throw in an LED strip.
