So, if any of you have not have know already I'm 14, and I like this girl and I have no clue if she likes me or not. I'm imagining all of you are like "oh brother not this shit" but trust me I'm serious about this. I went to a playground with a bunch of my friends and she came as well, didn't talk to face to face once, I went roller skating today with my friends and with her and her brother, I didn't really talk to her directly, and I that's the problem. Her parents are strict, she told me, so I can't ask her out or anything but I just want her to like me, she is my friend and I want to spend more time with her but don't want to annoy her too much. I new some quick comment therapy, because I'm stumped on this

Communication is key.

Start a conversation with her when you're near her.

Talk. Learn about each other. Talk about school or something.

You're still young. You're going to go through this a lot of life.

I have talked to her a lot but by texting and that's basically it, I spoke to her and had conversation with her a few times but not a lot, and I don't want to text her 24/7

First of all, keep being you. Don't change who you are just to try and make her like you more; that's the last thing you'd want to do since you're not being authentic.

It's normal to look for some advice on topics such as this, especially at such an age as yours since I'm sure you haven't had to go through a relationship just yet; but the early pre-teens are the age when most "heartbreak" occurs consistently since in my opinion, "true love" at that age is what older teenagers (once they've gone through experience) consider a "fling".

First thing you've got to analyze is that her parents, which is common in parents of teenages your age, are strict and possibly over-protective of their little girl and haven't begun to process the fact that she's growing up and middle school is the phase where teenagers begin to grow and form their social lives. You've obviously got to give her space but you can't be too distant, being distant can be as annoying as constantly being on her case.

Don't be stumped about this. You'll have quite a few cases in which you'll be stumped and you'll have no idea what to do; as I said, you're just beginning to form your social life since you're in that middle school phase. Just keep at it, who knows how the future's going to end up?

Couldn't have said it any better. You're young, you have a lot to experience before stressing. Just do you, and go with the flow.
