Winners have been chosen. Thank you all for participating in Power Hour. Please see the bottom of this post as a small request from me.

9:00 to 9:15 - PM me your best festival/gig story within the next 15 minutes - best story wins 1 month of gold, second best gets 5k rep.

Winner was RVM with his story which perfectly sums up the unknown nature of festivals and how much of an amazing experience they can be and how they can change your life for the better.
Runner up was Nicholas with his great behind the scenes look at how the festival takes place and his personal experiences.
I'm adding a sympathy prize of 2.5k rep to -Silky for his heartbreaking but hilariously painful story of being kicked out. Please see their storys below;

RVM wrote Here's my story, not sure it'll be any good to you or not but oh well--

Was seeing the band Rush live. One of the most amazing concerts I've ever had the chance to be at in my life. Just the energy that was around alone made me feel amazing. So I got up at one point to go walk to get something to eat, as I was waiting in line there was a girl in front of me, she had dropped her purse and everything scattered Over the floor. I went to help her gather everything and after it was done she thanked me and we got to talking and kind of hit it off. We were just 2 peas in a pod. We didn't want to split up but we had tickets on opposite sides of the auditorium. She gave me her number I texted her. And we met up later that night for drinks and food. This was 3-4 years ago. Now we are engaged, with a 1 year old son! She is the love of my life. Never will forget that day as I met the most amazing woman I ever have met. And now we have our own baby boy, if it wasn't for that concert, we would have never even met! Crazy to think. -- Just wanted to share as this was the best expierience of my life and thought it was worth sharing.

Nicholas wrote I've been to warped a handful of times with all access. Thought maybe some of you would be interested in knowing what it's like back there.
The experience is going to differ each time depending on the stage crew. Some are real chill and just leave you alone to enjoy the show. Others are more high strung and clearly do not want you there and in their way,
The sound up there is horrible. The sound equipment is set up to project out over the audience. Not behind or to the side of the band. From on stage you can barely make out even your favorite songs. It all just sounds like jumbled noise. In addition to that you are just staring at everyone's backs and more often than not your view is blocked by props or sound equipment. You are honestly much better off watching the bands from the crowd.
The appeal to me for being on stage is watching the crowd. It is amazing to watch the energy of the crowd from that perspective. I think the best example of this was Bring Me The Horizon on one of the smaller stages, The crowd was massive and the entire stage shook with noise and energy. It is also interesting to see a bit of a different side of the musicians. From the stage you catch little things like the guitar player from Anberlin accidentally blowing a snot rocket while on stage and asking the drummer if he still had snot running down his face, or the toddler daughter of Hawthorn Heights guitar player watching her daddy play and kept trying to run out on stage to be with him.
Another perk is being able to meet some of the band members. Whats cool about Warped is a lot of other band members will come check out their friends play. While watching the Chariot, I got to talk with Jason Butler from letlive. That dude is honestly the nicest and most sincere guy.
Another cool guy is the singer from Pierce The Veil. Not really a fan of their music but I ran in to him one one of the side stages watching some new band. They had literally a hand full of people in front of the stage and you could tell they were excited to have him there supporting. Thought that was cool of him. We chatted for a minute and he was a real friendly guy as well.
Other random encounters - The guys from Taking Back Sunday let us share their tent while they stretched out and got ready to go on stage. . One of the guys from Motionless in White sat and talked with us for a bit about tattoos. We have run into and talked with Jenna from Tonight Alive a couple of times and she was very sweet. I chatted with the drummer from the Chariot a bit last summer as well which I was excited about as they are one of the bands I actually listen to. Not all of the musicians you meet are very friendly or sociable though.

-Silky wrote My story.
So this year I went to British Summer Time to see Green Day perform and I was extremely excited as they are one of my favourite bands. I had saved up loads of money to afford this (keep this in mind)

I had got there many hours earlier with a friend and got relatively close to the stage, all good so far. Green Day come on and two songs later comes on the song 'Holiday' before they start playing they ask to get 3 people on stage which they chose randomly, after going mental I was suprsingly picked at which I couldn't believe (nor my friend) and I made my way over the fence at the front but as I did this I was tackled by 4 security men and chucked out the festival.

So I paid a massive amount of money to be chucked out 2 songs in.

9.15 to 9.30 - Post your favorite picture from a festival. This picture does not need to include you but it will involve bonus points if it does.

I'm going to give this part to Bants picture and Mikey's pictures. Enjoy the 4k Rep & Month of Gold! I've chosen these two specifically because it shows that all sorts of shenanigans can take place while you are away loving your life and without a picture no-one would believe you.

9.30 to 9.45 - First one to guess which festival I was at when this picture was taken receives 2 months of gold and 3k rep.

Mickers was correct. This picture was taken at T in the Park 2015 before I was taken out in a mosh pit at Oliver Heldens. Missed out seeing The Prodigy but I got to experience Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at the top of a roller coaster swing.

9.45 to 10.00 - How many festivals have I been to in total? First one to answer the correct number of festivals wins the Ninja Badge.

Gavin- was the first correct with 8 festivals - They have received the Ninja badge as they are obviously stalking me! Even though I have been to some festivals multiple times I have counted them as 1 occasion. I've not included any gig's as this number would be far too much! Congratulations Gavin-!

I've been to;
T in the Park - 2010, 2014/2015 and 2016.
Swedish House Mafia's One Last Tour -2012.
Electric Daisy Carnival UK - 2013
Global Gathering - 2014
EH1 Festival - 2014
Don't Let Daddy Know - 2016 & 2017
Snowbombing - 2015 & 2017
TRNSMT - 2017

A small collection of my memories;

Damn Dale, the amount of stories you've told us and the amount of pictures you posted made me believe you've attended well over 40 events.
