Its cool that you got a car for your sixteenth! Like the others said, you could tint it and maybe get some good looking rims for it. Possibly some exterior/interior appearance mods. Possibly an exhaust but please don't go for an obnoxious ricer fart can exhaust. Im sure it has some lowkey yet still nice sounding exhausts, just do some research. As far as any real performance mods, in my opinion i wouldnt put a dime into the motor unless it was for repairs, its just not worth it. Id save up for a car in the future because a car with 167 isn't going to gain much without a lot of money into it. Good luck!

Nice attitude, everyone gets a first car, no need to slate him for it. Just because not everyone can afford a nice car doesn't give you the right to say shit like that.

As for the car, always like the Hyundai Coupes, mods wise black alloys are a good start imo, maybe tint the windows, exhaust system/back box, also interior styling is always a good place to go, makes the car feel more personal. Just look around your car and think how could I make this look better. As for engine/performance mods not sure whats out there for it, unless it has a turbo then probs just stay away from any attempt of more power, cost wayy too much to even get more BHP from a NA engine. Only way to go would be like heads or cams which is v expensive. Nice car though good luck, keep us updated!
So it's better to tell him to blow his savings into something that'll shit itself in 2 years tops? That's just **** stupid. As he said it was a present so that changes the situation. Just leave it stock. PS I also started with a 1999 Buick before I got my car that IIIIII paid for so my parents didn't buy it.

He asked for help on what modifications he should start with so stop slating.
and I was suggesting to not throw his money into a hole.

Well did he ask for what mods or what to do with his car? What mods. Exactly so help him instead of saying a sarcastic shitty joke.

1. How is that a joke? 2. I'm advising him on how to manage his money, rather than throw it away?

1. Because the sarcastic way you said it. 2. Did he ask for tips on saving money? No he asked what mods, you do not have the right to say what he should do with his money so don't overstep. I modified my car because its enjoyable and I was able to afford to, to an extent. I don't regret it, I also through doing this know what to do in future and not what to do. Learned from my mistakes. Just let him do what he wants.
