I want to build my first gaming desktop but dont know any good parts. my budget is about $2500.

i have $2500 to spend on parts.

i have an empty thor v-2 desktop case.

games i will be playing mostly are overwatch, gta 5, call of duty, minecraft, battlefield, the division, rainbow six seige.

yes i will be overclocking my cpu

and no i dont need peripherals

What monitor, keyboard and mouse are you using? Keyboard and mouse aren't as important but it would be handy to know. We need to know what monitor(s) you currently have and will be using.

The Thor V2 is very much a dated case, and is sub par even to budget cases these days so I'd definitely recommend a new case. What is your preferred colour scheme, if any?
