So ive played FUT since 2009 , i have never been amazing but i have gotten better. With Fifa 17 i seem to be able to defend reasonably well i just cant attack. My record is 41-8-108 ..... i cant qualify for FUT champions and i'm really frustrated.
Yesterday for example i lost 3-0 to a bronze 56 chem team... I have a rare gold team including De Gea , Sanchez and Aguero. I have double the amount of tackles normally between 12-20 per game. Shots in this game were 14 on target to his 6.
I generally have the better stats and alway lose , i dont understand how to win at this game. Any suggestions except for selling it ?

I started to give interest in similar thing couple days ago, after I struggle to win in FUT Champ, and it seems like you have to adjust tactics of whole team and each individual to your gameplay. Also the quick in-game tactics you can change during a match should be set up to your comfort. Those affects gameplay way more then in FIFA 16. Or at least that's how I find it.
Ive heard the best formations so far are 433, 4321 and 41212, and better to don't go too offensive if that makes sense.
I pretty much swapped from my 352 and changing tactics regularly to work out what fits me best. And it works fairly well.

I'm the same, in the weekend league I was Gold 1, then Elite 3 twice now I can't win a game, I've gone on 5+ loss streaks loads now and Idk what to do

Yeah i have changed my formation many times and applied custom tactics. The gams just seems really unbalanced

A lot of people say that cheaper players often play better than the top tier players. Before you lose hope I would try using a cheap OP team and go high pressure. I am 95 - 2 - 11 by switching off with two 50k teams.
