Gameplay

This is a game that I have been playing for quite some time now and I've had a lot of fun with it as well. In this game you play as a soldier who has to clear out waves of zombies while trying to stay alive as long as possible. You could either do this solo or by gathering up a team of either your friends or randoms to fight with you. I really like the customization options in this game a lot. You are able to change your name as well as the name of your partner which I think is pretty cool. There are also tons of weapons to purchase each with unique upgrades and stats. In order to unlock some of the special weapons though you will need to make an in app purchase. Not only can you buy weapons, but you can purchase armor to which will help aid you in battle. These weapons and equipment can be unlocked once you reach the required rank for it. In order to rank up you will have to destroy the living dead in either singleplayer or multiplayer. Completing daily challenges as well as completing matches will reward you with money and xp. You can also make an in app purchases to buy the next rank if you are in dire need of it. Each rank unlocks a new ability for your character. For example, ranking up to rank twelve gives you both faster reload time and an smg. There are three modes to play in onslaught and those are onslaught, apocalypse, and challenges. Onslaught is where you stand against hordes of zombies. Apocalypse is where you try your best to survive endless waves of zombies. Challenges is where you are sent to a certain location to do a mission and once that is completed you are rewarded with xp, money, and sas-bucks. Multiplayer has all three of these modes including one new mode called the purge mode. In the purge mode you have to destroy all of the surrounding nests before you are outnumbered by zombies. You can also play a private match in which you give out your match number to three of your friends and they can join the fight with you online. This game doesn't need wifi unless you are wanting to play multiplayer so this game is good for whenever you want to just pick up and play. When playing in matches the controls work pretty well when playing. Sounds are great as each noise coming from every gun is different. Also there are tons of maps to play in too which provides hours worth of gameplay. There are a variety of zombies too which can make the game become pretty hectic. Each zombie has a unique ability which can cause havoc when many different kinds are coming in hordes. You can also place turrets around the map to help you out as well. Also there are different types of grenades that can be used to clear out any room filled with zombies that you can find. Overall, with many customization's and content that can keep you playing for hours on end I would definitely recommend this game if you haven't checked it out already.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are definitely not the best that I have seen and I think the developers could have done better. The game is played from a birds eye view which really helps let you scope out the area for oncoming waves of zombies. Animations in this game aren't too great, but they get the job done. Maps are highly detailed and have little cool additions in them to make them unique. Zombies as well as weapons are also detailed enough to tell them apart from other things. The game is 2d and it does look a bit cartoony which I don't mind at all. When shooting zombies their blood splatters across the walls and floor which really makes for immersive gameplay. Also when getting hit your screen will light up red signalling that you are low on health. Overall the graphics are pretty nice, but not the best that I have seen and it reall lacks at some points.

Controls

The controls in this game are quite simple to understand and to learn. You use dual sticks to play this game which can be hard if you are not used to using them. The left thumb stick is to move your character around while the right thumb stick is used to aim and also shoot. You can throw grenades by pressing the button on the bottom right side of the screen. In order to change weapons when playing you can tap on the arrows on the top right of the screen to scroll through your weapon arsenal. Also when placing turrets you will have to tap the button on the bottom left side of the screen. I never really had any problems with the controls accept for some touch recognition issues here and there. Overall, the controls make up for the graphics and make the experience better.
