Synopsis
Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Swedish video game developer EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3. It was released on October 29, 2013 in North America, October 31, 2013 in Australia, November 1, 2013 in Europe and New Zealand and November 7, 2013 in Japan for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Gameplay
The gameplay for Battlefield 4 is probably the best shooter out now, it is action pack every where you go to. It features similar gameplay to Call of Duty but it is way advanced and takes more skill. The game has two modes to play Campaign and Multiplayer. You must the 2 separate discs to play either one you want, Disc 1 multiplayer Disc 2 Campaign. In the campaign your trying to defeat the Chinese and stopping them from taking over the world. The campaign is super short in my opinion (took me 6 hours to beat) maybe they will just come out with some DLC with it. Multiplayer is what really does it in this game, its fun to play by yourself and your friends. There is a huge variety of guns to use instead of like 20 in a game, theres like 15 on each gun choice; DMRs, Carbines, Assault, LMG, Sniper, Shotgun, and PDWs. The game has a radar in the bottom left corner and in the bottom right corner it has a health bar and your ammo. Your health bar isnt like the mortal combat bar its like what you would see in a hospital. When you get shot your guy will breath heavily and it will go up bigger etc. Players can put on weapon attachments to help range or they could put on a red dot then have a supporting attachment like an ACOG and use it whenever he/she would like. Players can also select there gun fire mode; burst, Automatic, and semi-auto. Automatic is used for close range mostly, burst is for long range or medium range, and single is for super long range. Players can also spot enemies so that if there running away you can see a marker over there head and chase em down to kill them all. The spotting feature also allows you to see the enemy on the radar running around. One thing that DICE has fixed it the spot marker is the same for all ranges, it used to be if your farther away the bigger it is now its all the same size and doesnt get in your way. If you havent played any other battlefield games then you arent familiar with the bullet drop. There is a bullet drop for each weapon the farther the person is the higher you have to aim. On snipers it has been enhanced so that the player can precise there drop or shot based on environment. What I mean by precise there drop is that they can set the bullet drop to like 200 meters and it wont drop as much. DICE developers have also added a new mode to the game called commander mode. In commander mode the player can help his allies by giving them more ammo, vehicles, or calling in missiles to drop on the enemy team. The developers have added all kinds of things like levelution. Levolution is when the map can change completely, like on Siege of Shanghai the big building in the middle can collapse if the players take out the support beams in the front. It will send dust in the air and it will look way different after wards. They have also added 2 new game types; Obliteration and Defuse. Defuse is like search and destroy on call of duty but way more smaller and must play tactically. Obliteration is like Sabotage on Call of Duty except there is 3 bombs that you have to blow up. I would have to say the gameplay of this game is absolutely fun as crap, if you dont have the game you need to buy it.

Plot
The plot of this fantastic game is action packed on every level but overall it is pretty short. The first mission you are introduced to all the developers and publishers with possibly one of the best songs out now. You will understand what happens when you beat the first level, but in the very first mission you have all the characters in one car under the water and ones leg is pinned. He will tell you to take his gun and shoot the window once you shoot the window it will give a big bright flash and will be spawned in with a weapon and on your feet. Your traveling through a building with no ammo and you meet up with 'Pac' and 'Dunn'. You cant seem to find 'Irish' but of course you look out the window and Irish is out there killing people up, you provide cover support and meet him. The mission is to get to the factory safely and get picked up. You fight your way towards the factory and start getting overrun by enemies. Your ride gets killed and you have to get out of there before they find you. You start getting chased by an attack helicopter and get shot up. Then you meet up at the Valkyrie. This is where you began at first and you start doing assigned missions for them. Im not going to go into every single missions details cause that would just make this super long and ruin the fun for you. It has a great plot to it but I believe it could be a little larger than it is now. The whole games story is action packed and gets your heart pumping fast, you need to play it if you havent already.

Graphics
The graphics of Battlefield 4 are amazing on almost every console. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are not as highly detailed as the Xbox One and PS4 graphics are considering this game was made for Next Gen. Well lets begin shall we. The maps that came with the game, about ten of them, are all detailed to the full extent. One map like 'Operation Locker' is based in a snowy environment. The map has some mountains here and there and there all have that jagged effect to it. The snow has a texture to it making it feel like real snow and when running around on the snow you can here a slight crunch to it. When your slightly near an opening you will get a frost effect on your guns sights or your screen making it harder to see your enemies or allies. Oh yea and this maps levelution isnt the greatest in the game but it is still something. In the middle of the map there is this little tower in it and it has two turrets to it. If you blow it down the tower will tumble on one side and parts of it will be laying around broken into pieces, debris will also go in throughout the map when that occurs. The guns in this game I would say are in great and high detail. It looks as if it might in real life like some parts having grip in some areas or buttons to press in order to shoot or do certain abilities. The explosions of grenades or anything are fantastic. Your screen will get brighter and if the explosion is good enough it will stay and catch the ground on fire. The fire looks like a perfect image of a fireplace would it has ash coming off and has a crackling noise to it. As said before each map has a different levelution and each maps is different or similar in a way. On Lancang Dam part of the damn will fall and collapse in the map and thats like Siege of Shanghai except the building falls and makes the players fight on the broken building. The vehicles arent that detailed although they have some detail to them. They will have little minor details but nothing important to them. One recent bug that has happened to me yesterday actually was that the map goes all colorful and chrome. It has only happened to me once and all I had to do was die or leave the game. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the graphics in this game. They look absolutely insane and you can tell a lot of effort was put into every thing.

Controls
This is going to be one of my shorter sections of this review but I will try my best to review them as best as possible. I have only played this game on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. They are the exact same controls for both consoles so they should be the same on the PS3 and PS4. Almost all the controls are the same as Call of Duty but in a different manner I guess you could say. I will try to actually go into full detail on every control making you feel a little comfortable on what its like. RT is to shoot; you can tap RT if it is a semi auto weapon, the player can also hold RT to shoot an automatic weapon. LT is to aim, there really isnt much to explain here. A to hurdle over things; this can be used on certain objects they can be big or small but they have to be a certain size. B is to crouch or lay down, nothing to explain. Y is to switch weapons or pick them up, it is weird at first when trying to pick up a weapon with Y but you get used to it. Those are really the main controls of the game pretty much if your infantry its a whole different story. If you have played the previous ones you can switch it to veteran controls so its not so bad but now its like halo controls and its not so bad at all. The jets still have that inverted flight controls as well as the helicopters. But if it wasnt inverted it would make it so much different and just be gross. RT is to shoot now and it gives the player a good feel for it instead of the old LB button. I would have to say the controls for this game are amazing and make the gameplay much better with these kind of controls. There shouldnt be any improvements what so ever, DICE did a great job with this .

that is a huge overrate, sorry but this game is actually terrible, DICE and EA don't seem to care about the server issues, mainly with 64 player conquest on all corresponding platforms, even PC is experiencing horrible server problems and bugs, as for the campaign, it seems like it was developed within a couple of weeks, the story is just slow and boring and has a terrible ending, just like CoD: Ghosts, which is also terrible, just an opinion though. DICE took 1 1/2 year to develop this game, and they're already making development strategies for Battlefield 5, which is stupid, if anything they need to go back to the Bad Company series and develop Battlefield Bad Company 3, because Bad Company 2 was underrated while these "new" Battlefields are heavily overrated

I call Battlefield 4 'The Polished Piece of Shit', someone needs to tell DICE that you can polish a turd, but it's still a piece of shit, basically what I am saying is you can make a game as beautiful in visuals as you want but if the game is unplayable, it's pointless and DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $64.. ever!

Gameplay: 9
Multiplayer: 0.001
Campaign: 6
Plot: 4
Graphics: 8
Controls: 10
Overall: 5.8
