Gameplay
If the player is a fan of the developer's other game Candy Crush, then those players are going to enjoy this fun and joyful game. Pet Rescue Saga will have players destroy blocks that are directly next to each other in order to bring down the pets that need to be rescued. The player's objective is to save all the pets within the amount of moves the player is given, as well as earning the set amount of points required the level requires the player to achieve. By reaching farther into the game, players will unlock new power-ups to use at their disposal. Players will also be able to purchase more power-ups for the levels they are having trouble passing but really defeats the enjoyment of the game if you got to actually buy the power-ups instead of earning them. For some levels in the game, the player will notice the pets are trapped in a colored cage, what players will have to do is match the caged pet with the same colored blocks to release them and they will appear back up at the top of the blocks that the player has to bring down again to rescue the pet. Players will notice these bombs that are incased in these glass cubes that will break when it hits a solid surface other than the colored blocks and blows away any blocks that it is surrounding it. After matching a substantial amount of colored blocks, the player is awarded with a unique power-up that lets them place it in a column of blocks that will destroy them that are in that particular column. Players will have a total of 5 live lives that regenerate after a set amount of time. Players can also request friends via Facebook to give help them gain more lives faster than waiting for the time limit to end.

Graphics
Similar to the graphics of Candy Crush, just without the bright assortment of colors, Pet Rescue Saga has amazing an clear graphics that players will sure enjoy viewing. For being on such a small screen, the little messages that pop up are very easy to read and r that makes them stand out from the background to make them legible and easy to read without having to adjust the screen or squint. The details on the pets the player rescues are just average looking, but with a more cuteness look to them. The background of when the player is in a level is well defined and greatly textured and can be seen more clearly when the blocks get destroyed to reveal the nice and bright background.

Controls
Pet Rescue Saga has but only one control, and that is to just tap on the screen where there is more than 3 colored blocks next to each other. By having such a simple and easy control, players shouldn't have any sort of problem in the slightest with the controls unless they have broken fingers. The controls are simple enough that even a toddler can actually understand how the game works. When players decide to use a power-up, its a simple touch and tap on the location where the player wants to use it and bam, the power-up is activated. Real simple, no sort of difficulty to be experienced throughout the duration of gameplay.
