Gameplay
Counter Strike: Global Offensive, is an online only game, meaning no single player campaign. When i first got this game I thought this was a bad thing, but I was so wrong. This game doesn't need a single player campaign, the online is so gripping and fun, that's all you'd want to play. The variety of things to unlock online is unbelievable, such as gun camouflages and new things to buy in game. CS:GO is a very fast paced game, it is played in very close quarters with not much line of sight. Only some maps have spawn points where you can have a gun battle within the first few seconds of the round. The variety of maps in the game is pretty good too, most maps can only be played on selected game modes.

Overview
Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a online first person shooter and is the 4th part to the Counter Strike series. Like the previous games of the series Global Offensive is a objective based first person shooter. The consists of two teams Terrorists and Counter Terrorists and each try to complete their objectives to become the victor. The game operates in short rounds when either all of the opposing team members are dead or the objective is complete. For most of the game modes in CS:GO, once the player dies he doesn't re-spawn till the round after. As you earn kills you also earn money to buy guns and equipment for the following rounds, that equipment disappears when you die. Killing teammates or hostages earns you negative money, so watch out who you shoot. At the end of a round, the player receives some money as a reward for completing a round.

Game modes
Classic Casual and Competitive: Counter-Strike's well-known game mode, involving both Defuse and Hostage missions. At the start of each round, players can purchase weapons and gear with money earned from various actions, from assisting on kills to completing objectives. For both mission types, a round ends when either a team completes an objective, or eliminates the other team.
Defuse: The Terrorists must plant C4 at one of two bombsites, the Counter-Terrorists must prevent the bomb from exploding.
Hostage: The Counter-Terrorists must rescue hostages from the Terrorists, and bring them to an extraction point, the Terrorists must prevent the hostages from escaping. If a Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist attempts to kill hostage, they will suffer a heavy cash penalty.
Arms Race: A Deathmatch based mode where each player is rewarded for each kill with a new weapon, with the first player to get a kill with every weapon in a predetermined set winning the game. Much the same as Gun Game in Call of Duty games.
Demolition: A round based mode that removes weapon and equipment purchasing, instead rewarding players who manage at least one kill by giving the next weapon in a predetermined set of weapons.
Deathmatch: A mode consisting of 10-minute matches. Players must gain the highest possible score by earning kills with different weapons or desired weapons. The number of points from a kill depend on the weapon. Players may also take advantage of bonus timers for different weapons, using them to score extra points.

Graphics
The graphics in CS:GO are good and bad at the same time, whilst the quality isn't the best out there, it feels like it doesn't need to be any better. The game is perfectly balanced between graphics and game physics. Due to the graphics being a little on the low side, it means lower end PC's can run them better which is a good call as they attract more gamers to the game that plays better. So it was a very smart move. Here are some examples of the graphics settings from with in Global Offensive. It reminds me a lot of playing Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. That's what I'd compare it to.

Controls
The controls in CS:GO are pretty simple to get used to, now I'm talking about this from the PC version, so it will be pretty much the same for all FPS games. But with the simple WASD setup for movement and the Shift to creep instead of sprint took a while to get used to, but i picked it up very quickly. But at least with these controls it makes it easier to use from the first game you play. And any other buttons needed for special equipment is shown to you from in game so the controls are pretty decent for this game. This game also has a key binding option so you can customize your keys to which ever button you prefer. So no one can complain really.

Ratings
Physics: 9/10
Graphics: 7/10
Realism: 8/10
Controls: 10/10
Online Play: 10/10
Overall: 9/10

This is a game everyone should have in their inventory...

Very good review. So accurate. Having played CS:GO for absolute ages (have around 90hrs play time racked up) I can safely say this is 100%. CS:GO is a really must have game. It's so simple yet so fun. It can also get very competitive. As Craig said, everyone should have it.

Very nice review; well organized, detail in description, and overall very well written. Good review, hope to see more from you in the future

I've played the game a few times at a friends, and feel from my experience the game fits the review.

I believe that they made this game to much like Call of Duty. Not saying anything is wrong with Call of Duty, but CSGO is way different that Source or CS 1.8.

Sense I loved playing Counter Strike on PC and I heard it was coming to Consoles man I was excited.

When I first played it I had a good feeling but not as good as the PC ones.

I liked this game very much cause it has a lot of the stuff from the OG.

I loved the maps and the Multiplayer.

8.5/10.
