Gameplay
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set in a third person perspective so the player and all objects around him are visible. Splinter Cell has always had a third person perspective and I like that about this series, it makes the game easier to play and gives better viewing angles. For example, when in cover you can move the camera to see what is on the other side which gives you the advantage when you want to stay hidden from enemies. The stealth side of this game is both good and bad at the same time, while giving you the option to stay well hidden killing your enemies from a distance or go in shooting your way through everything, it can be a bit to lenient when it comes to enemies spotting you. For example they could be looking right at you and they cannot see you at all, which makes the game a bit to easy for my liking. But it is a great game overall.

Campaign
The game starts off with Sam Fisher and his old friend Victor Coste who are about to depart from an airport in Guam (Andersen Air Force Base), when an unknown enemy attack the airbase with missiles and troops. Assisted by Hacker Charlie Cole, Sam shuts down the radar array that is blocking all communications. Victor has been assisting a troop injured from the blast when he pulls the pin from a grenade. Victor then jumps onto Sam protecting him from the blast, but Victor is severely injured from the blast. Soon after, a terrorist group calling themselves "The Engineers" claims responsibility for the attack on the airbase in Guam and soon announces that this was the first of a long countdown of attacks they were calling "The Blacklist". They declare they will stop all attacks if the US calls back all troops that are deployed abroad.
President of the United States, Patricia Caldwell. Who had just shut down the corrupt "Third Echelon" calls for Sam Fisher, Charlie Cole, Isaac Brigs and Anna Grimsdottir (Grim). They make a group called "Fourth Echelon" she put Sam as commander of Fourth Echelon and gives them the task of shutting down the terrorist group "The Engineers". Fourth Echelon's base of operations is a customizable plane, codenamed Paladin.

Fourth Echelon go through various stages of trying to hunt down the leader of The Engineers and finally before the last of the attacks succeed in their attempts therefore bringing down the organization.

Multiplayer
Multiplayer wasn't a bit side to this game, as Splinter Cell has always mainly been Single player games. So there isn't a massive lot to say about it. But anyways.

Multiplayer in Blacklist features a co-op mode which allows you to play various side missions from the campaign, these missions are playable through the characters in game, Charlie Cole, Isaac Briggs and Sadiq. Grim offers side missions to, but these can be completed alone. The Co-Op feature is a great on in my mind, it takes a step back from the gun ho games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. So it was nice to just relax and game with some friends.

Graphics
The graphics in Splinter Cell: Blacklist were brilliant. The real life scenarios it could produce was amazing, the UnReal Engine 2.5 is seriously under rated. here are some pictures of what the engine can produce.

Now i must admit i played this game on PC, so the graphics do differ from the console versions, but playing it on PC with the graphical setting turned up to max was a massive pleasure to play. I loved this game and I'm sure many others did to. This game on PC is quite demanding as I'm sure you can imagine. The Anti Aliasing for this game is brilliant so tree's look like tree's and grass looks like grass. The clouds look like clouds to, which is rare for games nowadays. The thing about this games graphics i really love, is it's live render time, so dust rises where your footprints are and smoke could pop out of the tiniest of places, all of this makes for a better all round gaming experience.

Controls
The controls for Blacklist were really easy to pick up. W to move forward A to strafe left D to strafe right and S to move backwards, it really was as simple as that. The buttons to enter and exit cover were really well laid out to Q to enter and exit cover. All the buttons were customizable which made things a whole lot better for people with gaming mice. Other controls such as the "Use" or "Action" button is pretty much the same for every game, and I'm glad about this as it makes to controls easier to locate when you need to press them fast. Like i said before, all the buttons can be customized to your liking so there really isn't much anyone can say about the controls being bad.
