Gameplay
Fifa 13 has more game modes and more teams than ever before as well as major changes to some game modes from previous instalments to the series. First of all, new teams and leagues have been added to the mix, along with new stadiums and obviously all updated kits, teams and extras. Seasons mode has been updated with a better search engine and players can play against other people in the world with similar skill levels, along with friends. Career mode once again allows the player to take control of any team he/she likes, but now he/she can also manage international teams. The user can chose to play as a player or as a manager to prove themselves to the world. There were minimal changes to the Ultimate Team mode, just a new lay-out, better looking cards and updated players. In Ultimate Team mode, players must build up their team by playing games and winning competitions to earn coins which can be used to purchase better players. To make a great team, the user must buy good players, a respectable manager, keep all the players in one formation, have the players get along and keep everybodys morals and fitness up. In Ultimate Team mode, the player can play offline seasons and tournaments as well as on-line seasons and tournaments against real players across the world. Players and items can be purchased in packs or on the transfer market. As well as all of this, players earn XP for playing matches in any game mode and as they earn XP, they level up and unlock new items in the game store and earn money to buy items from the store. As always, the game still offers a kick off mode where the player can start a game and pick all of the rules, teams and fixtures to play whatever way suits him/her. There is also a training mode where players can practise their skills to perfect aspects of the game that they feel the need to improve on.

Graphics
This game probably has the best graphics yet for any football related game ever released, arguably better than the newest Pro Evolution Soccer game. The players looks are very detailed and can easily be recognised from close up and even from far away when playing. The game can be either bright and colourful or dim and gloomy depending on the weather settings that the player chooses. The menu layouts look very nice and are easy to navigate around. The game runs very smoothly with a neat texture and the graphics look very clean and professional. Very good graphics on this game which definitely exceed the expected standards.

Controls
The controls are very good on this game and can suit experienced gamers as well as inexperienced gamers. Depending on the difficulty level chosen by the player, the controls needed to win the game will vary. On the easiest difficultly, the player will simply need to pass, shoot, cross and run to defeat the opposing team, however, on the hardest difficulty, the player will need to use a large variety of different controls to complete long passes, skill moves, dribbles and accurate shots. Once again, there is the option of manual and assisted controls. Manual controls allow the player to land passes, shots and crosses precisely where they want, but they are very difficult to learn, but definitely worth it as the players skill will progress in leaps and bounds once they learn to play with assistance.

Ratings (Personal)
Game play: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
Controls: 8/10
Overall: 9/10

I only have the demo for this as I am low on money, but I am definitely getting Fifa 14!

I agree it should have a high rating! The demo is amazingly fun, and I can only imagine how fun the actual game is! Nice review!

I agree with this review, EA could make some great additions in later years with a good foundation to start on with games like this, hopefully 14 is even better than this!

personally I hate football. but for some reason I really got into this game, enough for me to buy 14 on release night! I only really played ultimate team but I would defiantly give it a high score out of 10
