Synopsis
Get up and get playing with Wii Sports from Nintendo! Experience motion-control gaming that the whole family can enjoy!

Gameplay
WiiSports allows the player to play a variety of five different sports, all from inside the players own house. The sports available include tennis, golf, boxing, baseball and bowling. The game allows the players to control there own Mii which they create when they make their account on the Wii which helps when playing split-screen as the player immediately knows when its their turn by simply recognising their Mii. The game has two different play modes which are standard mode and training mode. In standard mode the player levels up in each sport the more he plays and improves on previous scores, however if the player does worse than usual, his/her skill level will decrease. Standard mode can also use the split-screen feature so that players can play and compete against one another. Training mode allows the player to practise each sport in three different manors without affecting their skill level. The player can attempt to beat high scores set in training mode as well as earning medals.

Graphics
WiiSports has animated graphics which seem to be very, very simple. There is minimal detail in the environment, players and in the whole game. The graphics could actually be compared with graphics from much older consoles, they really are that basic and simple. The game also has different sound effects for each sport which are often repeated and can get fairly annoying after a while of playing. However, this game is not purposefully designed for serious gamers, so most families and young children who play this game will most probably be fairly satisfied by the games graphics. Overall, the graphics were not impressive when released and certainly not impressive now, quite a disappointment.

Controls
WiiSports is a motion-control game where players perform acts with the Wii controller and the game mimics the act on the TV to complete the desired action. The player must use the controller or controller and nunchuk to copy out how each sport is played in real life and the action is carried out on the TV. When doing each action, the player can usually use to controllers buttons to add special techniques to each action such as putting spin on balls or swerving balls. Since this was one of the first motion-control games released, the controls were great when they were released and since the game was released there hasnt been much of a improvement with motion-controlled games, so WiiSports is pretty strong on this front.

I gave it a 10/10. At the time it was my favorite game even while halo 3 and cod 4 were big games. I just enjoyed it more.

I rate 7/10 because some users may have a hard time getting used to hitting and swinging the Wii remote because its very sensitive. But, it can be very enjoyable playing with other people especially the easter eggs such as in tennis you can play on a blue court by when its on the black screen hold two until you can see the screen again and you will be on a blue court
