Synopsis
Experience the strength and savagery of Conan as you wage an epic battle across the lands of Hyboria.

Plot
This game was created from a series of books written by a man named Robert Howard who created the hero Conan. The game follows the storyline of one of his most famous books called Queen of the Black Coast. The game follows the plot of the book very well and there are many references to Robert Howards book in the game. The game begins with Conan having all of his power armour removed by an evil wizard and teleported to different lands around the world. Conan promises to recover his armour and begins travelling the world, fighting the locals to retrieve his armour. Whilst on his travels, Conan meets a pirate captain called A'kanna who travels with him to try and remove a spell cast over her crew. They fight through many worlds, finding pieces of Conans armour along the way until A'kanna is kidnapped. Finally Conan, wearing all his armour and using all of his powers, saves A'kanna and leaves to lead the lands as a king.

Gameplay
Conan is very similar to the popular game God of War with similar camera angles from a third-person view and full of gory, yet awesome fighting moves. This game required the player to think a lot and use different combos to perform different moves to progress through the story and unlock the many achievements this game has to offer. The story consists of twenty-four different levels and over twenty possible weapons to choose from over these levels. By killing enemies, the player can collect runes dropped by enemies which can be used to restore health and unlock new combo sequences to unlock new moves to use against enemies. Some objects within the environment are interactive and the player can use them to his advantage to find hidden treasures and to kill enemies. Overall this game is full of different attacks, meaning this game just doesnt get old.

Graphics
The graphics of this game are by no means bad, but since this game is so comparable to God of War II which was released around the same time, the graphics of Conan just do not match up to God of War II. Although the graphics have no problems, they do not seem as clean and as smooth as they possibly could be. Graphics of the surrounding environment are quite impressive; however characters look quite rough and are not too detailed. Overall there are no major problems with the graphics, but they do not meet expectations from other games released around the same time.

Controls
The controls on this game are very interesting as there are so many possible button combinations which can be learned and use to do different moves and attacks. There is also a feature where the player has to follow a sequence of buttons to press to complete a fight or escape from a sticky situation which is a feature not used too much nowadays. With over 100 different possible combinations to learn and practise on enemies the controls are very unique and definitely a pro for the game.

How is it stereo-typing? It seriously looks very similar to God of War 2, but with less impressive graphics.
