Synopsis (Wikipedia)

Conker's Bad Fur Day is an action-platform video game developed and published by Rare. It was released for the Nintendo 64 in 2001 and was Rare's last game published for the console. The game was in development for four years; it was originally intended for a family audience, but was redesigned and marketed to a much older demographic. It features graphic violence, sexual themes, mature language, toilet humor, and several film parodies. A remake, titled Conker: Live & Reloaded, was released for the Xbox in 2005. It features enhanced graphics and a different multiplayer mode.
The game stars Conker the Squirrel, who is attempting to return home to his girlfriend. The gameplay is composed of various challenges like solving puzzles or racing vehicles, split across multiple levels. The game includes a multiplayer mode where up to four players can compete in seven different game types. Conker's Bad Fur Day sold poorly due to limited advertising and a release towards the end of the Nintendo 64's life-cycle. Nevertheless, it received very positive reviews from critics, who lauded its graphics and audio, and also earned a cult following due to its unique styling.

Story Mode

Conkers Bad Fur Day has an action-packed story mode that will keep you busy for a while. You're playing as Conker who previously appeared in "Diddy Kong Racing" and acted like a cartoon character but in Conkers Bad Fur Day, it's much different. He swears, drinks beer, and does many things, well, a child shouldn't do or know about for that matter. So let me dive in and tell you some quick things about the story line in Conkers Bad Fur Day.

As a stated before, the story mode will keep you busy for a while. Throughout the Story mode in the game you'll notice Rare made "parodies" of popular movies including Saving Private Ryan, The Terminator, The Matrix, and many more to include some humor into it. These spoofs fall into the story line really well and if you seen the movie, chances are you'll notice the spoof.

Multiplayer

So now we get into the Multiplayer section, I'll give you some information on all of the game modes and some good things, and bad things about them.

Raptor :
The first mode I'm going to talk to you about is this mode called Raptor where you are a Dinosaur or an Uga-Buga (which is basically a caveman) and the Dinosaurs supposed to try and defend your eggs while the cavemen supposed to try and kill the dinosaurs, take the dino eggs, and throw it in a frying pan to cook it so they could feed the rest of the Uga-buga family and make the egg, into an actual egg. (:

I know, may sound lame but not really. It's actually quite fun since the map you are playing on is pretty big (there's only one) and there are good weapons that you could choose from that include things like a shotgun, magnum, flamethrower, and many other ones that are floating around. So that part is good, and now some bad stuff, when you're an Uga-Buga (Caveman dude) and you go under your Frying pan there is a certain spot where the dinosaurs can't kill you which is good for you, and bad for them since you could kill them, and they can't kill you. Think of it as head glitching in CoD.. there is a tiny spot where you could kill the person and when you're about to kill them, they kill you. I would show you a picture so you could know but sadly, there are no images on the maps.

Overall Rating of Raptor - 9/10
Few drawbacks when playing as a Dinosaur, especially when you are trying to kill an uga-buga.

Heist :
Now we have heist which is basically a game mode where you supposed to involve stealing money from a bank. I didn't find it that much fun like I did the other game modes since I wasn't that good at it, but the map where you played it on, was fun. Since there were Sniper Rifles at the really tall platform above, there were Bazookas, and a lot of other cool guns. Plus you play as weasels.. I prefer playing as squirrels instead. Plus the bad of money which you supposed to capture, could run away sometimes and go back to the spawn which could be a bad thing in some scenarios or a good thing in another.

Overall rating of Heist - 8/10
Weapons are limited compared to other maps, hallways are small especially when all four of the teams are there, which will be chaos.

War -
So in the War mode there are two available maps. First in Colors which is CTF basically where there are two bases that are far spread apart and you supposed to capture the flag at the top of the opposite base, as well as defend your flag. Then we have the map "Total War" which could either be you keep on killing the enemy team or capture a canister, which you either supposed to get in cover, or gas will cover the whole entire map and you'll die. D:

Both maps are very well since they both have a large variety of guns to find but I would say Colors is a bit better since it's more of an open area and you could get more kills and your playing CTF, so it will last longer!

Overall Rating of War - 10/10
I loved both the options in "War" and they were both very fun!

Tank
This mode is either where you out kill while you're in a tank, or setting off some type of radiation thing which'll make some weird type of gas to go around in the air and if you aren't inside a base correctly, you'll die.

The map that is playable is a good map, there are perks that you could pick up that'll give you the upper advantage against an enemy and those are in very good areas, some are open areas which could make you a target while others are not. You could only play on ONE map, which sucks but I guess it's alright. Here is a little glimpse of the game mode.

Overall rating of Tank - 7/10
The tank you are equipped with kind of sucks since it runs kind of slow without getting a perk that boosts you up, the available map is great there are some parts of the maps where you could just camp.. Yes, the computers will camp.

Race -
This is another uga-buga gametype that is you versus some computer AIs or a second controller buddy and you basically race around a volcanic map using this weird rocket type of thing. There are two routes available and both are the same maps, just different routes you take. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like :

Green represents where you are while the red is where the opponents are and in the top-right corner is where a missile is so if there is an enemy in front of you, you use that missile and it will follow the enemy in front of you, and kill him.
I don't want to go to much into this game mode but I'll give you my rating for it.

Overall Rating for Race - 8/10
Would of been nice if there was at least one other playable map, even though this minigame was taken from the campaign story line, the track could'v been longer with more obstacles that would of made it more exciting.

Characters

There are many characters that are available in the game that could be played in Multiplayer mode, that are from Campaign. (Characters are unlocked via Cheat Codes)
Those characters are :
Conker
Neo-Conker
The Weasals
French Zombies
Giant Teddy Leader
Giant Squirrel Leader
Grim Reaper
Ugas
Villagers
Basic Teddiz
Basic Squirrels

And there are some more, just can't think of any. There are a lot of characters that were from the Campaign that they didn't let you unlock in the Multiplayer mode but with the ones that they did let you have, those were the cool ones. Although they should of let you have at least a two extra characters that would of been cool to play as that they didn't include.

Rating

10/10

I felt the need to give this game a 10/10 because for a game that was released on the Nintendo 64, not only did it have some good graphics, animations, and some funny scripts and fun Story line, it was Amazing! You come thinking this is might be a childish type of game by the cover (Exclude the ESRB Rating) since Conker was a character in kid games but you're wrong since it's not a kids game, although I played it when I was a kid. Which I don't know how I got passed my mom since there was a lot of swearing, most of the words are censored though..

Anyways, it's a very good game, and enjoyed the 3 or 4 years I stuck with this game.

Yeah, it's a good game.

And you're right, I was going to include more about the Story mode but I didn't want to try and tell the whole thing, I was aiming for just the outline.. even though there were some great things that I didn't mention like the "Great Mighty Poo" and there was the part when you were a bat and the part when you fight the giant uga-buga (IMO, the Uga-Buga part was my least favorite, as well as the part when you're trying to help the Cogs and you collect them since I didn't like it when you have to swim since I would often die..)

But there were some great scenes.
