Thanks for the feedback everyone

No problem. Hopefully my advice has helped you in some sort of way.

Also in response to your above comment.. my PC is wired directly up to my internet ( well the router ). But I am in a different room from the router most of the time.. I live in an apartment so drilling thru the walls and hooking up a router in the bedroom isn't really an option yet, but I am only ~15' away from the router but their is still a wall and a closet door.

I've changed from 2.4 GHz to 5GHz & I've noticed a tremendous difference in speeds.
Useful if you live in a small apt. or small houses.

100mbps which should be like 10megs is good enough for simple videos well higher speeds would be more beneficial due to if you download youll lag so having a higher speed ie 100mbps/1gigabit youll have room for videos and downloads, note if other people uses the internet to watch fhd videos expect lower speeds and issues of lag, so opting for a higher plan is a good choice

Update: I set up I believe 200mb/s might be 300mb/s because they had a 10$ promo but I litterally already forgot what one I selected.. but it is either 200 or 300 but I am recieveing 90 down and like 105 up.. I will test again after work but I ran out of time on my break. It is wired - wall to router to PC . I'll try wall to PC after work incase the router is limiting it

Or It could be that your ISP has shitty peering to the YouTube sever. There has been many occasions where a person has the highest speeds like 300 mbps or even gigabit, and their youtube videos buffer.

It's also based on the equipment you have, if you have a modem router combo unit than you are going to lose speeds and coverage. I highly recommend getting a modem that is 32x8 channel or for that speed you have right now 16x4 and for the router anything above a Netgear ac1750. I have a 300mbps plan with my provider and I can guarantee an extra 50mbps. Also if you're do a speed test make sure there's no ads being displayed on the web page.

If you need additional help or your bill keeps going up PM me and I'll help you out

OP mostly likely has Fiber to the home, his isp might not even let him use his own router/modem.
