Lily wrote People have been saying that it's dying since Season 3 but last month, they registered their biggest month with 78 million players on the game.

No, it's not dying. It won't die for quite a while. It might lose a bit of players when Blackout is released but then people will realize that Blackout is just more Call of Duty garbage and go back to Fortnite.

Blackout Is More Cod Garbage? It's the first time they have done a BR, and they have succeeded with it in the beta and will continue to do so in the future, 78 million players Free game btw

I wont be surprised Fn will go to shit before 2018 is over

I don't really think it's dying but i do think the older players from season 3 and under are getting tired of it. It's just not the same anymore & to me personally, it isn't something i could play hours at a time anymore. It's burned out for me.

Nasyr wrote The problem that Fortnite suffers from is that the game basically has just one map and people are getting bored they want more. Look at PUBG for example the player base on Xbox is really small compared to PC they are working on ways to revive Europe FPP. They are releasing new maps, war events and custom games. Always introducing new content to play with. Blackout, the season pass for call of duty will most likely introduce new content and maybe new maps at some point in the life cycle. It comes down to the player base getting bored with the same content just slightly tweaked. I don't play it much because I don't like the mechanics, such as the sprinting. More or less doesn't exist. Anyways if they bring new maps out the playerbase would be more booming than ever since it would bring back old players who have moved on.

New maps really aren't the equivalent of a game being revived. The "OG players" (as they call themselves) left Fortnite because of the changes they made from Season 3 and above. For example: the elimination of double pump, the addition of the SMG spray/pray meta, Epic Games releasing skins that were once considered "OG" (Power Chord, Red Knight).

"OG players" who have quit the game will not be returning to Fortnite. They'd never get used to noobs spraying the hell out of you, even when they don't even need to.

Comes down to the player base getting the same content but with tweaks? You just described what Call of Duty is, has and always will be. Call of Duty has been the same hot trash in the past few years and now CoD is hoping to revive their franchise by adding a "new" Battle Royale mode to its game, they're only adding it because it's what's trending and what's "the new moves".

If battle royale modes had never been thought of recently, CoD would release the same damn game with the same damn mechanics. Imagine if releasing new maps isn't a great step that CoD has to bring back classic maps (Firing Range, Array, etc.) to their multiplayer so that people can be entertained and can "drown in the nostalgia" (same thing Epic Games is doing by releasing the original music).

People who "played the game before everybody else" will always find something to complain about. They're just people who got used to the game but can't get acquainted with any of the new changes so they call the game trash.

They have made some additions that have left me stupified, especially the recent addition of the chiller traps (which replaced the bounce pads). I, as much as anyone, can accept that the double pumps were abusing a mechanism that Epic Games had not managed to fix; I miss them but they definitely had to go. They didn't, however, have to nerf the shotguns so stupidly once they removed double pumps. Imagine putting a shotgun into somebody's nostrils and hitting him for a 70. They've recently buffed pumps and you can now one pump somebody with at least 160 health. It makes sense to keep pumps from one shotting an enemy with 200 health because, what would be the point of shields?

Anyway, changes are a normal thing to happen in any game. People want the game to not be so monotonous? They need to ADD and CHANGE things for that to happen.

LMAO. Do you really actually think that CoD will be the end of Fortnite? You're delusional.

Yes, Blackout is more CoD garbage. It is the same Call of Duty gameplay... but in a battle royale mode. Find one thing that's different from their usual gameplay other than the Battle Royale mode.

People will be bored of CoD by the end of 2018... The same thing that happened with WW2. Remember? WW2? The game that's hype only lasted about 3 months and then died.

I don't play the game a lot or even very often. A number of the members in this community can vouch that for me. I'm giving you my perspective from someone who hasn't liked it that much since day one. Call of Duty would be the same run down game it's always been I won't deny that. I play Call of Duty, 80% of the time I play zombies I don't like Multiplayer on call of duty it's too repetitive. I played the multiplayer beta best game mode was by far Heists. I played Blackout and didn't like it at the start but it grew on me. On launch I'll play Zombies, Blackout and Heists. Fortnite, H1Z1 and PUBG will all be out the window because well Fallout will launch soon too.

As I said though I was giving my opinion based on an outside perspective and what people who I know play the game and have since day 1 say all the time.
