Yeah the XB27 I have looked at a lot today, 1$ under my price range, I may have to try and snag it on blackfriday or cybermonday!

Yes, typically. I'm sure there are some really shitty IPS panels out there that would look horrible compared to a high end TN panel, but I couldn't even give you an example. I personally wouldn't touch another TN panel because every single TN monitor I owned was a horrible experience and every single IPS monitor I've used has been very impressive for the price paid.
