I am planning on building a new computer sometime soon and I have a pretty large budget I will be with working with so I am hoping to get some top end parts to better suit my video editing and gaming/streaming needs.

One question I have though is if it is worth spending the extra cash for an RTX 2080 Ti over a GTX 1080 Ti.

Some say the 2080 Ti has a noticeable performance difference while others say it's practically the same.

Any thoughts?

Anyone who says the GTX 1080Ti and RTX 2080Ti are "practically the same" is straight up lying, or don't have a clue what they're talking about.

Is it worth spending the extra cash? Depends on your budget and your exact use cases. Regardless though, the RTX 2080Ti is undeniably far worse value than a GTX 1080Ti in most, if not all situations but that doesn't mean it's not worth it.
