I'm looking to buy a 4k tv for general use but more importantly to pair up with my new Xbox One X. Has anyone got any recommendations of a good tv for gaming on for under £700? Preferably would like it to be around 40-48 inches as it would be wall mounted in my bedroom.

That's not true.

I'm sure there is someone on TTG who can easily solve op's ask. I'm not that person, but for now, I would try looking at a Best Buy or any electronic store. Personally, when it comes to big purchases like a TV I'd rather have a feel/see before I purchase.

I currently have the Samsung Mu6470, had it around a year. They are very very well priced and the feature sheet is endless.

Samsungs range of 4k tvs is up there amongst the best there is right now.

There's no need for that. I obviously know where to purchase a t.v. from. I just wanted to see if anyone had any 'stand out' tvs either from their own personal experience or knowledge, as I am unsure. I shouldn't be made to feet that asking the community for their opinion is a bad thing.

Thankyou for that, just had a quick Google and it seems very well priced. I will have a quick look for a few reviews around online and make a judgement on it soon. If anyone else has a tv that they love that fits my criteria please feel free to comment and let me know. Thankyou

Personally I rate Sony for 4K as its mainly their tech that records 4K for film.

Samsungs closest offering around that price would be this one. A decent TV but I think the Sony pips it for colour quality and blacks. This one is curved, but dont let that scare you the curve is not as severe as some people make out and does give better viewing angles.

Flat Version

Panasonic of the past few years have had a really bad time of it as they were sharing parts with Toshiba which was compromising the quality standard they previously had. They seem to have got rid of that now and have some cracking TV's

Now LG are a mixed bag, if you want something real special you would be looking for OLED but thats out of the question here. With their lower models you tend to find a bit of motion blur which if you are gaming on you dont want.

Obviously the comments are my opinion and I built those opinions on working in the industry.
I have used Currys as they are pretty much the part of the biggest electrical retailer in Europe so the reviews tend to be on point.

The 6470 model range over the years has always been a good seller. This years model (7470) is doing just aswell with some great reviews. The 43" is about 500 notes but for another 100 you can get the 50"

To add to this, as an opinion, myself having the 42" version, if you have the space. Get the 50, I'm regretting not paying the small amount extra. But am still happy with mine nonetheless.
