My next car will be my dream car, a new Nissian 370z the only issue is I can't decide between a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters. I really need help with pros/cons between the two options I'm really torn and can't decide which I'd like more. Please help me.

If you're gonna get a nice car like that, 99% of car enthusiasts will tell you to go with the manual.
You will have more fun and get more pleasure out of it, learning to drive stick could be the reason as to why and why you don't get a job(if it requires driving), they usually last longer than an automatic transmission, you can push start them if you're ever in a position to do so(You may be getting a new car, but you'll be surprised.

The one real reason I don't like manual cars is because of my location, there is so much consistent traffic that driving an automatic is the simple and smart move, but if you're not in that position then it's not something to worry about.

It is also almost 100% personal preference.

This is probably one of the MOST ASKED QUESTIONS when looking to buy a new car, therefore automobile websites will have THOUSANDS of articles talking about the difference between Automatic and Manual transmissions, and even more articles telling you which you should get, do a little bit of research and you will have more perspective on which you would personally prefer more.

you gonna get a lot of shit for an auto 370z juuuuuuust saying

If you're in a heavy populated area with a lot of traffic, go with the automatic, your leg will thank you for it. Also if you plan on racing it, go with the automatic, you can't outshift a computer and every millisecond counts in racing. If you just want a cruiser, get a manual. If you go with the automatic and someone gives you crap, chances are they don't drive anything as nice as you, most likely something beat up and old.

I'm going to say automatic. They are easier to drive, usually faster, and sometimes more fuel efficient. The only time that I personally would prefer a manual is in a truck if I'm hauling a heavy load so I can control my gears but past that I don't see any benefit in owning a manual for me. If you think driving a manual is fun then by all means, go for it. As someone who drives 4 hours a day, a manual would not be fun for me lol.

Simply put, get what you want because at the end of the day you're the one driving.

If you know how to drive stick and you're going to be driving spiritedly then you will probably have the most fun.

My car is auto because I daily drive it and these new dual-clutch transmissions are absolutely incredible. My car is tuned by APR (VW) and it literally feels like I have one gear when I'm on it. I've won races just because my car was auto and theirs was stick.

But at the end of the day its up to you.

Manual > Auto for any vehicle. You get better gas mileage, it's more fun to drive & cheaper!
