I honestly don't know how to start this so I guess I'll start from the beginning.

I started working at Publix (local grocery store) with the guarantee that I'll be working at least four days a week.
Now just a little background information about me, I recently turned 18 and I'm starting my first semester of college
in a couple days. I told them this information upon being hired because obviously I need to be saving up for college.
I was still in High School when I got accepted to Publix and was getting about four days a week with good pay.
Once I graduated from High School and summer started, I started going down to three days a week, then two days, and
now I'm at one day a week. I've talked to them many times about the lack of work days and they keep giving me the same, snotty answer:
You aren't the only worker that needs hours, Josh.
So now I only have one 8-hour shift a week, only getting paid $55 a week, I can't live on this or especially save like this.
I've resorted to trying to find a new job online. I've been a Graphic Designer for 8 Years but I don't know where I can
find work.

I don't know what to do.

Go apply to a different store. Find another job that isn't online. You have lots of options.

Try going into something that is in your field of interest for school?

Healthcare is an exception but both places I work are always short staffed and wanting to hire more people. I get more hours than I know what to do with sometimes working 16 hour shifts....

What is it that you want to go to school for?

You can find easy graphic work on Fiverr. Check it out. People will message you almost weekly, but some will leave you on the hook. 'I want this and this' talk to you for a couple days and never reply.

But, eventually, you can make it worth your time. I ordered from a guy for a bunch of costume stuff, for 150 USD, and he said I was ninth in line. Took him a week to get my stuff and it was professional.
That's 150x9 in one week! 1,350 before tax.

Mind you, he had thousands of 5 star ratings and recommendations.

My girlfriend worked at Publix, she hated it.
Probably the worst job she's had she would say

I worked at publix for 5 years and moved up quite a lot. I left last year but left as a GRS. Grocery replenishment specialist. It's a great company if you tough it out. Hours aren't always guaranteed for part timers. Work your butt off man and show them why you deserve to be there. It will pay off if you have a good work ethnic.
