Recently bought a new controller from Argos and every 40 minutes or so it kept disconnecting, after 3 hours of play my WiFi keeps dropping the same time as the controller.

My WiFi is still on and my brother is still playing his Xbox but it will just kick me from a game and offline, sometimes it lasts 5 minutes now sometimes I could game for 1 hour, but they'll just disconnect both the same time.

If anyone can help be grateful. Thank you

Is there are interference in the room? Like is the router on the desk or a phone or a bunch of metal.

Do you use a wireless headset too?

Is the xbox somewhere strange like on the floor under everything etc.

So your bother stays connected while you disconnect?

Have you tried using your new controller on your brothers xbox and see if it does it on his?

Are you plugged in through Ethernet or wireless? It's hard to put a problem like this on a controller :/

I did a factory reset before and used the new controller and that didn't work. So god knows what's up
