so my legs been hurting for 2 months now but the past week or so it has been BRUTAL. its to the point where i cant even walk with out wanting to grab my leg and scream.

it hurts on the lower inner side of my shin bone (around the middle)

when i push around the muscle its fine but once i get between the muscle and the bone IT KILLS..

if i walk for a bit its not as painful then after a few minutes its so bad i need to sit down and even when im sitting its just pounding. my mom wont take me to the doctor n idk how to treat it. already tried the rice method too

forgot to mention: it started hurting after i tried skating this 2 stair with my buddy. i landed on that leg with all my weight for about an hour, ever since that day its hurt but the pain was minuscule so i ignored it.

Tell your mom it's serious and you can't walk properly.

Going to the doctors is the most logical thing to do, anything else is just taking unnecessary risks that could lead to long-term damage. A sports therapist may also help, haven't had experience with them but I'd imagine they could diagnose the issue.

Your leg has lots of different tendons and muscles around the bone, it's likely damage to one of them if you're having trouble walking, more likely a tendon than a muscle too.

No damage should last over two months, even breaking your leg wouldn't take two months to heal so that's worrying.

You need to go to the doctor and get an X-ray/MRI. No one on here is going to be able to tell you what is wrong without seeing any results.

I am no doctor, but it sounds like shin splints, especially with you landing as hard as you said you did.

Go to the doctor. You'll probably be given muscle relaxers/painkillers, and be told to do something for surface treatment.

Hope you get to feeling better bud.

Hey there man, you need to get yourself down to an ER

From what you described it sounds like you have a low-energy compartment fracture

Basically over time there has been pressure building up in your lower leg between the muscles

You'll be fine should you have it treated in time should it actually be a compartment fracture

If you've noticed any numbness/paleness/tingling you're at the stage were if you don't get it seen to there is going to be some major complications, loss of use/nerve damage/muscle necrosis(death)

Slight shit news, if it is a compartment fracture you will need a fasciotomy basically they slice into the four individual compartments to release the pressure, of course you will be under anesthesia then afterwards pain meds, you'll have some big ass scars though for the rest of your life

Please note med student vs doctor/rheumatologist

They are going to give you the advice and checks you need I'm just telling you from the best of my knowledge what I think it is based on what you said

Damn bro, you definitely need to go to the doctors that sounds very serious. I've had surgery on my knees 3 times, it used to swell up and it was very painful, it turned out I had fluid in my knees. I didn't go to the doctors for a year and that really messed up my knees so now I can't play very rough sports cause at any moment I could get really hurt. So my advice to you is to go to the doctors as soon as possible and get checked because you can really hurt yourself or make it worse!
