Most likely people who don't have bipolar depression won't be able to help as that's more than just normal depression. Hope you find the right meds man.

I have had many friends suffer with depression and the best thing they have done is open up to close friends and family. You need all the support you can get when suffering from depression.
That is my advice.

I do not suffer from depression fortunate for me but my closest experience to it was when I was cheated on and the best way to cope with it in my opinion is just by keeping your mind distracted from the negative things going on so gaming, hanging with friends and music helps a TON.

Music does help a ton make sure its good music not like some country sad shit though.

I had this thread on my watch list I've been busy with the server stuff so never really got time to reply. I suffer from depression with me its because I stack problems and worry about things beyond my control its always been part of my personality I literally drive myself crazy. I'm not paranoid at all it just builds and builds like the world is out to get me everything just seems wrong or my luck is down all the time and I just get stuck in this loop where I drag it around and stack that on top and it keeps going there is only so much someone can carry.

If you met me you would meet a guy who cracks stupid jokes none stop and likes to make others laugh most of the time I'm just projecting happiness onto others I wish my mind would allow me to have at most points.

Thankfully I'm blessed with family and friends who really do care about me they know me and I openly talk about where my heads at and that really is where you will find your help in people who understand you and know you if you don't have that I care so feel free to send me a PM if you want to chat or want advice.

You said you don't want to see a psychiatrist, you do! because you're asking for help go for an hour if it sucks at least you can say you tried the worst thing you can do is convince yourself your fine.
I have the same thing. My anxiety stacks and stacks and builds to where I'm panicking

Driving and if your someone like me who loves car and driving and its not a boring A-B exercise for you, then its always a brilliant outlet for bad things in life. I often go on 20+ mile drives on my own late at night. There no-one about and you can just play music loud window down and go as fast or slow as you like.
