I am not good with video cards, my build is almost complete and i only need a video card. I was looking at this one but not sure if it would be good or if it is even compatible, thanks for the help in advance!

It kinda hangs onto what resolution you're going to be running and what games you are looking to play. A 1060 will run most current games on 1080p at high-max settings above 60 FPS, so if you're on a 1080p monitor, it's a smart choice. A friend of mine recently got a 1060 6 GB and has been able to play Fallout 4 with HD water, weather mods and that sort of stuff, that would normally be a hit on your FPS, but hasn't complained about lower than 60 FPS except for when explosions happen in a cluster. I have been out of the loop with EVGA, but I know their Pascal cards did have issues with thermal padding and temperature, so I'm not too sure if they went ahead and fixed that yet or if I'm simply behind with them fixing that.

The card you linked also seems to be out of stock in a few places, but it's also having a price gouge of going for $300+ with one site trying to sell it for $340, definitely not worth that price. I would look around r/hardwareswap/ and see if you can find someone selling that GPU for cheaper if you can't find it on a site for a reasonable price, because spending $300+ on that 1060 is paying too much. I would argue the STRIX is worth $300, but it seems to be going for $360 right now when I swear that card was much cheaper before(Crypto-miners raising prices again??)

Just get the cheapest 6GB GTX 1060 or RX 580 you can find that you like the look of. Avoid MSI Armor cards and Gigabyte's AMD cards, apart from the AORUS branded stuff. Don't pay more than $300 for a 6GB 1060 or a 580.

Might be stock issues due to the holiday season. At least that's what I'm hoping since it seems to only be an issue in the US currently. RX 580s, GTX 1060s, and GTX 1070s have all been out of stock or ridiculously over priced for the last few days.
