just wondering is there a big difference?i just ordered a gtx 1080 gaming for about 500$ but i just noticed it was not the gaming X and i see online all the reviews performance wise are of the gaming x, someone just break it down for me... thanks. and btw when i look up on youtube gaming vrs gaming x, nothing comes up.

The Gaming X has a higher clock base speed, has a higher gaming boost clock speed (OC), minor aesthetic changes such as a lighter backplate and the plastic on it looks a little shinier on the red and black.

That's about it in terms of differences between the two. If the Gaming X was cheaper than the regular MSI 1080 Gaming, then that is fine to spend, but if the Gaming X is going for even $30+, it's not really worth it because you can easily overclock the original Gaming with MSI Afterburner and still reach speeds without paying a higher price.

okay thanks for the response my gtx 1080 should be here around jan 4th to the 9th
