The video was released by an ex-government official, if I'm not mistaken. It was (or is?) a program that was created by the United States government to study any UFO activity. This program was known as the Advanced Aviation Thread Identification Program, which the US very quietly funded with $22 million out of its $600 billion budget. The former director of the program, a military intelligence officer named Luis Elizondo, resigned in October and shared previously classified videos of fighter jet pilots sighting UFOs.
