So, recently, I tried to join a pool for Ethereum mining. Since, I have noticed that even when my PC is idle my GPU temps like to reach 70, or even 80 degrees.

I have deleted all the files since, as I didn't have any luck running the mining pool as it would crash my PC no matter what settings I tried mining at. So I don't think it is a problem of anything running in the background

download afterburner if you haven't. ramp your speeds to the max on fans.

If that doesn't solve it, replace the thermal compound on the chip, dust the card out, wash the heatsink under some water, and just dry it with an isopropyl rinse

Some of those Mining things can carry on hidden after uninstalling. You sure you deleted everything and there's no trace of it?

What's your GPU usage at idle when the temps are high?
