Looking to build a pc for a mate.

What is your budget and currency? £600 GBP
Do you need a monitor? No
Do you need a keyboard? No
Do you need a mouse? No
Do you need an operating system? Yes

What will you use the PC for? Will be used strictly for gaming and not much else. Looking to play games such as PuBG on the highest setting that £600 will allow. He will be wanting to build within the next 2-3 Weeks.

Thanks

Just a general holdover until some more motherboards are dropped for Coffee Lake within a reasonable price. You could also go Ryzen if you really wanted to get this ordered.

What monitor do you have?
What keyboard, and or mouse? (would be shitty to have a good system and shitty peripherals trust me.)

No need to wait for Coffee Lake, it's out.

Over budget but that's because I included a 3GB GTX 1060. You can get the system for right around the £600 mark if you swap the 3GB 1060 for a GTX 1050Ti though. Alternatively, you can get a used GTX 970 for a similar price to a 1050Ti, and the 970 will perform on par with the 3GB 1060. The only issue with Coffee Lake right now is that motherboard availability is shit, only Z370 chipsets boards are available for now, and there aren't even any under £100 yet, plus it's only really MSI mobos that are available right now. You can get a slightly cheaper mobo here though;

*Edit* derped, included the RX 570 that isn't actually available in the parts list instead of the 3GB 1060. Keep everything the same apart from GPU. Here is the 3GB GTX 1060;

Mitochondria already linked a 1050Ti, in case you decide to go for that to keep the system under/around £600 with a new GPU.

and here's where I'd look for used cards;

GTX 970s have been selling in the £130-150 range.
