If you are gamesharing with a friend on xbox do they also get preorder content? I received the cold heart on my account but my buddy gamesharing didn't? any reason?

On other games yes like DLC and such, but Bungie doesn't support gamesharing so they remove this feature which is understandable. Your friend still can get the Coldheart from a exotic engram though or he can buy a code online for around $10-20.

I do not think the other person gets pre-order bonuses. Those are linked to the gamertag so you cannot create multiple accounts and get the same thing.
