TL;DR, that's ironic.

To an extent, spamming isn't so bad. For the people that care about their post counts I suppose it's acquiring a goal. But then there are people who take spamming to a level where it's just irritating.

I get that spamming has become a joke around the forums and I find the spam racing hilarious.
But people like Xbox, or Mikey will actually read a topic before posting on it.
Or at least they're extremely good at making it look like they did lmao.
Countless times I have seen members comment on things and It vaguely correlates to the topic.
It's as if they literally either only read the heading or three sentences before they post.

On some of my topics I've seen spammers say something that is kinda relevant but it's blatantly obvious they didn't read the full topic.

And the second thing, is members commenting on week old posts trying to boost up their post counts.
Like how desperate are you to scroll through pages just to drop a 5 word post just to reach a mark.
Topics are made everyday yet you chose to go on a two week old topic that isn't all that interesting
just to drop a vague comment and be on your way.

The irony being that spammers will most likely use this as another post on their journey to whatever their milestone is.
And if any of you spammers made it this far into the post, good job, you're learning.

I don't expect to have anyone agree cause, well a lot of spam goes on these days.
But hey ho life goes on, and i like a lil mediocre rant.
Anyways happy spamming, remember to read 2% of every post before you do!

It's just a prank bro...

But like, low quality posts will get deleted, so there's no point in making them. Since this month is going to see a lot of them staff know to look out for the utterly useless ones which there will be many.

If you can't beat em, join em!

I understand what you mean by "spamming spammers"; when people call Mikey a "spammer", it's a joke referencing how much he actually posts. The difference between a spammer like Mikey and a spammer in general is that Mikey takes the time to think out his answers.

The most annoying spammers are the ones that OBVIOUSLY didn't read the topic and just write: "ugh this is awful, so sad!" It happens constantly in the News Forum.

All you can do is just report their posts as spam and continue on with browsing the Forums.

Thanks for the shoutout mate glad someone thinks my posts are useful, but yeah I do read all the threads that interest me, and I can never read a thread without posting on it, because whats the point of people making topics if no one going to post on it, thats what makes the site active posts on threads. Yes some of my posts are complete shit posts, but then again I have spent hours on making just one post, like when I do the game reviews, they take a fair few hours to do, and making mega threads.

Guilty as charged I do sometimes get carried away and start posting on posts from 2012

I will agree that the leaderboards caused a rise in useless spam posts but there's only 5 spots you can fill up; as soon as people see Mikey at 900+ posts in a month, I'm sure they all gave up.

At the beginning of every month, the race to most posts in 24 hours will start. Once that day passes, it slowly begins to die down.

Shots fired man down. I like to think I tend to stay on topic, hope this isn't about me.

If it's spam the staff will handle it, Otherwise it's not considered spam.

This topic is just goofy, Disappointed in how people are saying Leaderboards ruined everything, Nothing is ruined people just have a lot of time on their hands to post 200 times in one day.
