So basically I was doing 80 in a 50 Zone and went through a speed camera because I didn't realise it was there. It was one of the cameras that flash you.
There were no white lines on the road during the time I went through it and I don't think the camera flashed me (Not too sure though).
I know I shouldn't have been speeding, but would using the No Lines on the road be reasonable to fight against the ticket if I do receive one?
Maybe the camera is not in use or has film in it, but still can't be 100% sure.

I think in court they will say speeding is speeding regardless of there being lines

Yeah those cameras suck man, but if there was a speed limit sign you probably won't get out of the ticket

Always fight little tickets like that you'd be amazed at what they'll end up throwing out

The lines are a secondary way of them checking if you were speeding.
Personally I'm glad that they removed the lines and are making these cameras more invisible, outside of areas in which speeding causes an increased risk.
In my area the police force announces on Facebook where it's speed check van is going to be camped out for the day.
Which is stupid because it just means that speeders will slow down for that day and keep speeding the next.
But hey, I'm not in the police. If I were you I'd just accept your ticket.
