I Understand there is another thread about this, I thought it would be easier for people to figure out what's wrong if I keep this updated along with the server status of games & this whole situtation.

First of all, I want to say that there's an issue with Microsoft Servers, this is nothing related to any stealth servers there's nothing they or you can do..

If your KV is banned, you'll not be able to reconnect to xbox live even if you change it, this is strictly to do with MS Auth servers being down, they cannot auth a new KV that has never connected to live before. this also happens for brand new RETAIL consoles if they've never connected before. A few months back this was an issue. which was fixed just close to a week..
Extra Information:
If you run a banned KV through a KV checker it will say it's unbanned due to them being down.
these KVs are still banned, but due to them not being able to reach the servers to check them, they appear unbanned.

For those who are new to modding and don't quiet understand what this means or how it works.
so there's a server which will verify your KV ( Key Vault ) - these are what allows you to connect to live without it you simply cannot, of course if these are banned ( you can replace them on a modified console, replacing it means it will be picked up by the server, although if this server is down and the KV has never been online before and you try to sense the server is down you'll not get anything back,
their for unable to update or change your keyvault, the only way to avoid this is by avoid getting a console ban within this period of time, when checking KVs in a KV checker this will tell you if the KV is banned or not banned, due to the server being down you'll only see "Unbanned" or simply receive an error, and there's nothing we can do about this but wait. If you're on a server such as Ninja or Xbonline you'll be fine for now and hopefully they resolve the issue quickly to prevent confusing.

- Whilst the server is down Xbox Is unable to authorize your KV, that being said whilst it's down the KV doesn't technically exist until it's fixed.

as for people who are playing Legit or are online due to having a good stealth server and have not been banned yet.

Let's hope it wasn't intentional this time or it'll be a sad day for the xbox scene

Last time this happened I turned off my RGH and went on MW2 on retail, let's hope they don't come back up in about the same time as last time, time without modders is fun for older more prone to mods games like MW2 and [email protected], although I am a modder myself i do prefer there not being any mods at all, also maybe microsoft are trying to figure out a new way to auth retail consoles so they can patch modding for good, they have failed at every attempt so far but maybe they have something.

People can still get online so it's not stopping people from modding. Only issue is if you get banned/switch KVs, you can't get back online.

I know but what I'm saying is last time this happened i managed to play MW2 on 360 without getting into a single modded lobby and on [email protected] there was only like 3 modded lobbies out of the 4 hours i was playing it. I know people can still get online but not anywhere near as many as usual

That's because people had changed KVs or was banned, most people who play MW2 probably don't use a good stealth server, they can't stop modders using this methods, because regular consoles also use KVs, sense there is retails that haven't connected to online yet, they also wouldn't be able to get back online, so this wouldn't be a fix to stop modders.
