I don't know if there's already been a topic about this, but I figured i'd go ahead and make one since I didn't see one on the first page.
Basically if you didn't know already, multiple platforms are coming together with crossplay for games like Minecraft and Rocket League but Sony has decided at this time they don't want to be part of it..
That means PS4 won't be getting all the cool features other consoles will get(like as seen in the recent minecraft trailer) and you won't be able to play with people on Xbox One, Nintendo, android, etc.
I don't know about you, but that just doesn't seem fair.

Sony's response and reason to not supporting crossplay:
He makes two excuses, the first one is somewhat reasonable I guess, not really, but the second one..
Bascially he says that mainly kids play Minecraft and they have to think about the children getting exposed to "external influences" which imo is the dumbest excuse. What about all the kids on Call of Duty and GTA getting exposed to violence over the mic/messages and graphically in-game?
If we all sign this petition that is over 6k signatures at this moment, maybe we can change Sony's mind.
Just think about the possibilities if Sony changes their mind and decided to proceed with crossplay,
Call of Duty players from PS4 and Xbox One could potentially play together(or against eachother )
Along with Battlefield, upcoming games like Red Dead Redemption 2, the next Grand Theft Auto,
just about any future game you can think of could potentially see crossplay features.

Even if we get a ton of signatures on the petition, it's not 100% that Sony will change their mind, but it's the only possible solution the community can really do to try and make a change.
Sorry if I didn't put much thought into this topic, I kinda rushed it and I haven't slept yet, I hope I said everything I wanted to lol
Also, I apologize if this should belong in a Minecraft forum, I don't know if we have one still as the site is different from when I last visited..

I signed, but it will do nothing. Sony has a huge market share of all games and they want to keep it that way. If you want to play with your PS4 friends, well buy a damn PS4.
That spokesperson is a damn fool if he believes that people will buy into that BS statement.
