I have an Xbox 360 with multiples games downloaded on to it. I'm purchasing an Xbox one soon. I have GTA V bought off the marketplace on my 360. Will I be able to download it onto my Xbox One or will I have to buy the Xbox One version?

No.. if they make it backwards compatible then there will just be mods all over Xbox one gta..

There is a library of "backwards compatible" Xbox 360 games that you can download and play on your xbox one without any extra purchases. I don't think GTA 5 is backwards compatible but even if it is, just buy it for the new console. It'll be worth it.

they don't necessary have to make it backwards compatible, they can recognize that you previously bought the game on post gen, and allow you to download the game on current gen and therefore you are on Current gen servers

Unfortunately you will have to buy the game over again. You will also have to start over with your online character since you can no longer transfer your progress.
